Both ways would be great! Me and my wife are talking about doing the Van thing since it looks like you are your own boss and less rules. We are couple old farts, both retired and we can make money and see some of this Country we haven’t seen yet! People who drive for Amazon seem more like employees supplying their own truck and then being told what to do and treating them like school kids giving them grades. Thanks again for all you do.👍

@@NavyVetJack okay, I will do it soon as I can. You are right about that we love being our own boss. Traveling is a perk as well. We truly work hard (by driving) and so we get the opportunity to see special places and enjoy them from time to time. I will work on that video real soon as well.

It's a good analysis. However I will like to remind you and other viewers that the number of miles driven per week will in most cases be less, because the need to pickup load and drop them, the number of pickup and drop per week will greatly affect the number of millage you will drive.

If you're driving 4.200 miles per week and your Truck gets 10mpg, you're going to spend more than $2,100 a week for fuel ($5/Gal). $1,400 a week for Rental. $500 a week for Insurance. $600 a week for Dispatch. $180 a week for Factoring. $25 a week for ELD. Total Expenses each week is $4,800 per week. Add additional expenses of Taxes, Food, Tolls, Maintenance, Lodging, etc.
@thetmphustle32822 жыл бұрын
Could be true for these gas prices, remember this breakdown was for my vehicle pre gas inflation. But that 10mpg is crazy. What kind of truck is that?
@scottbaxter26822 жыл бұрын
@@thetmphustle3282 26 foot box truck average 10 MPG. With costs of $4,800 per week fuel included, a new authority will need to be on top of their game AND drive 7 days per week in order to make any money. The insurance is a scam. 2-3K per month does not make sense.

Yes indeed your authority is usually 21 day process so you will have more than enough time to get the vehicle during that timeframe
@JeffryLandry2 жыл бұрын
I have to dispute your monthly calculations. If you multiply your weekly cost by 4 to get your monthly cost you're going to be off by 4 weeks at the end of the year. You should multiply the weekly cost by 4.33 to get your proper monthly and yearly cost. 52 weeks in a year in 12 months. 4 weeks multiplied by 12 months only gives you 48 weeks instead of 52.
@perrymcdonald14112 жыл бұрын
The way you're calculating it it will only add up for 28 days each month of the year. There's 4 months for 30 Days and 7 months for 31 days you're missing the two extra to three extra days on each month which would calculate 52 weeks out of a year.
