In corporate, subject matter experts sure can be sound bitey! One thing to also consider is that the choice to be on camera may not be their own. This adds to their anxiety and can lead to robotic responses too. In those (greater than 5% cases for me) situations, recording everything can catch them in their natural state. I’ve often found the most useful content is captured in between interview questions when they are discussing what they had just said with the host or discussing what will be covered in the next question. Corporate is definitely different than narrative!
