The Jiva Jr and Jem Jr share a similar neck carve (Wizard 3) and are actually finished with a thin coat of Poly sealant. I slimmed (removed 4mm) and reprofiled ("D" to slim "C") the back of the neck on both my Jem Jrs and my Jackon Soloist Pro. I applied 3 or 4 coats of Tru-Oil to seal the wood. 24hrs drying time between each coat and then 'polished' with 0000 Steel Wool. They are super slick now. One of the Jr's is now my absolute favourite neck. One word of warning for anybody doing this with a very slim neck is to be careful not to remove too much wood as you may be in danger of exposing the Trussrod

Nice! Personally I just sanded lightly with 600 grit sandpaper to remove the thin poly layer and get the feeling of natural wood. Didn't apply Tru-oil, counting on my fingers grease to seal the wood naturally (also I live in a hot and dry region, that helps)

I sanded mine last week! Completely changed them for the better!
