I’ve been selling press ons on Etsy for 1 year now and I still am only getting about 1 order a week. After a year I would have expected to be doing one a day ☹️

Hi hun, every business is different so don’t get yourself down. SEO is probably the most important thing to being found by potential customers which eventually will lead to an increase in sales. Are you putting key words in your titles and using all of your tags? Also have a look at how your competitors photograph their products. Are you taking multiple pictures of your nails such as wearing them, showing them in their packaging? This helped me a lot as this is what makes your potential customers click on your listings.

First off: Eye makeup is on poinT. Also how do you deal with possibly not having enough inventory (mailers, product boxes, etc.) during the initial start-up? Do you ever get super bulky orders?

Hi, thank you ☺️. I knew when starting up, personally, it was unlikely that I’d get big orders or even many so I only initially bought 24 product boxes and had just enough for the initial start up. Envelopes tend to be quite cheap (unless you are looking at more decorative/ personable ones) so I didn’t find problems with that. Now that I’ve been doing this 7 months, I do get bigger orders, I’ve had one that was up to 4. I just post them in larger envelopes but you could also have larger product boxes to keep nail sets together.

The nail tips I had been buying were from Amazon. They’ve since gone out of stock but I buy in bulk. Deffo look on Amazon and check the reviews for thicker press ons which will give you an idea on their quality. And thanks so much for checking out my Etsy, I’ve been considering it but it is difficult with how competitive prices are on Etsy.

Shops reopened in the UK back in April, so I did think that sales may slow but press on nails are increasing in popularity so I’ve found that sales have continued to grow really fast
