So we’re back with another fun video and it’s one of my favorite topics to discuss: designer versus dupes! Should you splurge or save; the age old question! I’ll be reviewing some of my favorite items and giving my personal opinion on if you should splurge on the designer, or invest in the dupe.

It is the psychology behind the whole fashion industry for me. High end or low end, the two positions represent the whole spectrum and need each other to inspire and innovate. It is a best kept secret that style mavens and mavericks alike wear dupes, etc., to make a statement. A high price point may provide exclusivity but is not always a predictor of great taste or quality just as mass availability, accessibility and affordability does not always preclude luxury. The main takeaway is to have fun while not breaking the bank.

This should definitely be a series..I tend to start with the dupe for certain things if I wear it often then I invest in the designer because I struggle with cost per wear..it’s been a ton of stuff I’ve sold because I never wore it!

Same. I just got into the loafer craze in 2020. I returned my Gucci loafers because I didn't wear them. I have 2 pairs of dupes from sam edelman and coach and i wish i never bought those either. A waste of money for me.

Hi Jenee, definitely the series. I'm starting from the ground up, my styles are much more elevated thanks to you. As I learn more tips and tricks, I find meself paying attention to the quality as apposed to the quantity. I started vesting in more designer pieces but it helps knowing how to achieve various looks without breaking the bank. Thanks babes!
