Should You Start Collecting Pokémon in 2025?

Started trying to master set twilight around 3 weeks ago, and I feel so much fomo for not collecting when it started. Prices are way too overpriced at the moment and currently every booster box is sold out on Pokémon centre. Praying for twilight reprint soon 🙏

I began when it came out and got pretty far along but knowing I had the greninja ahead of me made me eventually stop. Always loved that set

I got my start in temporal forces. I'm not a set completionist. I'll just pick the sets containing cards I want from gen 1 and 2 Pokémon that I love and recognize + others. I got 2 booster boxes with 4 packs from local card shops. I'm happy with my hollos and a few rares that I have. Prices always seem to go up overtime. I think I'll move on top Stellar Crown to get Syther and see if I can get that Mewtwo.

Sounds like you’ve got a plan all figured out! I think Stellar Crown is definitely a decent option for booster box prices cause they seem to be slowly rising now that it’s been out for a while. Good luck!

my past ruined the present for me. used to get a base or fossil pack for like $1.50 sometimes $1. now each pack is like $10. granted, economy and inflation is the same i know. technically it costs the same today, but my issue is what else i can get in today's world for $120. (current booster box price) so much else i like to do compared to 1990s lol

I can completely understand this lol. I got into Pokemon around late 2016 and packs were around $4 each I think. And now I can’t even find available product anywhere, and if I do, it’s for way more than what I’m willing to pay…

@@Brazoree I got some at Kmart the other day. Ripped two sleeves there was a box. Just ask staff for order I’m sure they can help or what day the restock it.
