I love my echelon! I had a P320 completely upgraded with an Icarus frame, etc. Was so picky with ammo. Not to mention would not operate with a suppressor. Changed out springs and guide rods with no avail. I’ve sold all my Sig P320 pistols. Still love my P229 Legion though. But this pistol is absolutely a Sig killer!

The only thing a glock 17 has over the echelon is mags they're mags work better and in a pinch a glock 17 can use echelon mags for a fact as I've done it and p320 mags as ive gotten p320 mags to function in my echelon you just gotta hold that motherfucker in there real good like

I spent 800 total on the echelon with a vortex red dot and stream light tlr (can’t remember which one) and a optic/flashlight compatible iwb holster the guy I bought it from got it right after it came out and barely ran anything through it

Nice optic choice there Johnny. I know we chatted about this at GOALS but for the benefit of your KZbin audience, I'm in total agreement that the Echelon is a sleeper right now. It's wayyyy better than the XD / XDM series. The gun it reminds me of most is the Shadow Systems guns, because it has everything you like about Glock but with all the stuff you hate about Glock already fixed. The grip feels so much better, no Glock knuckle after shooting half a day's class with it, nice big modern metal sights instead of plastic ball-in-a-bucket throwaways. Factory trigger is better than Glock but still not great. And how about that no-plates-needed optic mounting system? Maybe one of us should make a video just about that all by itself, it's way ahead of the curve... --Mike

I sold mine but want to buy another one Point. It might have been the best polymer handgun I ever had. I bought it because I was expecting different size grip modules and stuff to come out and it never did. Hopefully Springfield starts producing different sizes and I’ll buy it again.

I really detest hearing this nonsense of a shooter sending 1000 rounds down range without cleaning or lubing their guns. This is lazy. A firearm is a tool and requires maintenance. In no situation has a combat military went out and put 1000 rounds through a handgun without cleaning and lubricated. I get that if you want to torture test a firearm; but that is not what 99.9% of firearm owners are doing with their firearms.

Why do people use the term "Glock Killer"? I look at anything as an alternative to a Glock. I love my Springfield Echelon and I've never owned a Glock. I've shot them and wasn't impressed. The couple I did like were heavily upgraded which at that point is well beyond the price point of the Echelon.

Echelons are quality firearms. I have one in black multicam and one in FDE. Will probably get the OD green one as well, just because 😊. The only issue ihad was with an optic, and it was my fault for not using the correct screws to mount it with. The screw broke off in the slide, and I had to have my gunsmith fix it, but all is well now. Again, that was on me. I trust the Echelon with my life. Period.
