I have only used axolotl once, a couple of months ago, but the wheels are in motion thanks to your comment 🙂 Let's see what happens 😉 Can't promise anything but your voice is most certainly heard and noted!

Hey Radek, what would you recommend a person who is a) shy to talk online (fear of being thought of as stupid by people in the industry) and b) who doesn't have a lot of industry experience do ?

Hey! There is probably no escape from doing at least a bit of talking. Maybe not on video, but at least writing. I know of a person from the fast.ai community (they were a pilot, I forgot their name) who started a blog, wrote about his projects, and then started to apply for jobs. And it worked 🙂 But none of this is an easy or guaranteed path. A lot of people struggle quite a lot, you can read more about their experiences here: forums.fast.ai/t/are-you-doing-online-courses-in-the-hopes-of-learning-to-code-getting-a-job-in-ml/62797/8 Also, I can fully relate to your concerns. This is somewhat what I am doing right now, trying to un-shy myself about talking online. I have a video on some of the ideas that I am trying to leverage to help in the process. Will try to post it soon-ish. Hope some of this can be helpful 🙏

Also -- there is no one path. Some people form amazing friendships and working relationship via discord for instance, which is something I haven't even tried. So you can make others path work (I hear some people go to college for computer science and get their foot in the door this way 😉). But talking online in one way or another (even if you read talking as writing) can be super helpful. But I hope my words do not discourage you. As long as you keep trying you'll find a way that works for you, be that overcoming the unwillingness to talk online or finding some other way that doesn't involve doing so. You got it! 🙌
