Topic idea : When will electric motorcycles be everywhere? If electric motorcycles are already on the roads, why are ebikes not allowed to up their specs?

i on auto accept cos i thought it would, you know, AUTO accept cos i've missed orders before when im on the road and cant use my phone. but in the end i still have to unlock my phone and open the app before the order gets accepted. totally pointless

It does auto accept for me. I turned it on initially for that reason too, but I quickly found out that I’m being given the more sh**ty jobs that other riders reject. Not always, but quite a bit.

I am always on auto accept as i tend to miss out jobs due to the soft notification tones especially when you have a 2nd stack order coming in. The 2nd incoming job tone is barely audible especially when you are navigating on busy and noisy roads.

@@berniestudio I am working in the Yishun/Semb zone and of recent weeks, the assigned jobs were indeed of greater distances but i don't think its got anything to do with having auto accept on or off. I realised the ordering radius from the consumers' foodpanda app has increased. For instance i am residing in Yishun, i can now see and order from merchants from Sembawang and Woodlands which i was unable to in the past. Therefore i feel with the radius being increased for which consumers are able to order from, this could be the main contributing factor for the greater distances. Now back to having auto accept on, i have always had auto accept on ever since i started delivering for foodpanda, these shitty distances were never the case for as far as i can remember since 1-2 months ago. I would highly encourage riders to have their auto accept turned on to avoid missing out on their jobs and having their acceptance rate affected :) Down to individual preferences i guess.

I think finding a parking space is probably the most difficult thing. I wish the authorities are more lenient about it. Not all places have a bicycle parking area,just let me park my bike somewhere that doesnt obstruct pedestrians.

Also one thing I need to tell you sister Bernie, you know before I know you, I was so scare of tanjiong rhu area. Whenever I see any orders at tanjiong rhu, no matter how high the fee, I will straight away click reject. Then after I know you, you said regular scenery is actually so beautiful, I told myself, try and go and see see la since sister Bernie said the views is actually very nice and cross the bridge is also far away from city very beautiful like that. @@berniestudio No I mean it. I watch all videos of yours. And you know I die die also won't go places like east coast, siglap, especially the tanjiong rhu area, never. No room for discussion. Then after I saw you where there. I was thinking, just go and see see how is the area look like de la. Bit of cos is very long journey la.. For roo per trip can up to 7km not joking. Grab two trips from 4 to 6km. Panda is slightly longer than grab. Then panda is very jalat pay, unless batch 1. So I still stick to roo. Cod grab totally no order most of the time from 7pm onward to 12am. Maybe too many riders. And many riders are actually very very smart, they won't want to do roo cos roo you might need to ride a total of 70 km range for amere of 10 trips for the day.

Sister Bernie, may I ask if this thermal bag of yours is a new 62l or it is the same you bought last until now? Just curious why you use the red and blue board but not get one more divider instead?

Hello Snowy! Yes it’s the same thermal bag 62L. I use the red and blue boards because I use for different purpose - to vertically separate between two orders. - to push orders down so the lid doesn’t accidentally open. Both purpose cannot use another divider as that is too big.

@@berniestudio Still, , that means the bag is still very durable. Anyway the quality of the bag I really feel is very superior. No matter under sun or rain, it still won't change the structure of the bag quality.

I use, but because my iphone was expensive I don't want to risk attaching it to the holder and then have it drop accidentally. ;) So I will check it before I ride off. I've already memorised some of the usual routes, so I check it only if I'm going to a new location.

This is why I don't turn on auto accept.. I live in bukit merah as well. I tried once before , did auto accept on grab for 5 hours . I ended up at novena.

@@berniestudio It's not bad , definitely better then non auto . The issue is going to an area you're not used to so you'll end up taking quite a few detours and wasting time trying to find some places. The worst part is making the trip back home.

❤Topic ideas for consideration: 1. Bus drivers who, despite you indicating to go straight beside a slip road, purposely overtake you at slow speed while keeping just inches away from you as the bus cuts into your lane from being behind you initially, narrowly causing an accident as it cuts into the slip road with little distance left before it has room to enter the slip road, frightening the ebike rider. To me, this is potentially reckless behavior that can cause harm to food riders even motorcyclists. I feel that many car drivers do not want to Slow down for a second so that they can enter the slip road from behind you. Also, many car or bus or motorcycle riders or drivers do not know ebike rules riders subjected to. I asking if the authorities need to do more? Some , but few, food riders have cameras and they could upload or share these videos to educate the public or even take reckless or drivers with bad intentions or low EQ to task. 2. Using cameras or other recording methods, report using OneService app to fix road issues like potholes or humps along double yellow lines that could force riders to swerve causing accidents or risks to riders. My personal experience is the App has timestamp for reports made and this can hold the authorities accountable if issues reported not fixed within a certain time. Some say double yellow lines are not meant to be touched by wheels too and the paint could be slippery of wet. So why are we riding on it? I stand corrected if understanding is wrong .

Yes I experience it all the time, buses and cars either squeeze very close to us or change into our lane. Buses are so long, I have to slow down as they cut back into the lane so I will not be squashed by their back end.

@@berniestudio well, video footages can bring this issue to the authorities and Bus co for them to educate their drivers. Else nothing gonna change. Intentionally threatening to endanger the lives of riders could be potential criminal offence

Dear Bernie, can we have a episode on why illegal ebikes batteries (over 48v) are blatantly being sold in Singapore thru Telegram although Private chat group but having thousands of members? Do these over powered batteries contribute to or add risk to dangerous ebike fire cases (爆炸pronounced BaoZa)? Given mods are so easy to detect, why has tiny island not been able to crackdown? The legally abiding riders are at a disadvantage.

Hello! Thanks for your suggestion! Much as I like this topic, I’m not within these circles as I’m using the stock batteries that came with the bike. Each one of us needs to play our part and don’t illegally mod our batteries for the safety of our family members and the public. I will definitely do some research into this. 🙏
