I have two XRM06 and one XRM09. With the tuner issues and radio lockup problem on the XRM06’s, skip the XRM06 and spend a few dollars more for the XRM09. It’s a much better tuner and has better sound. Recently the 40v capable GRM03 came out, looks like an equivalent to the 18V XRM09 and will be a future buy when the 40v tools eventually phase out my 18v Makita tools.

I don’t know where this guy got his radio but I’m sorry to tell everyone but the old makita radios are way louder! these new ones suck! Makita, What happened to you guys?
