SHOULD YOU WORK OUTSIDE OF THE IT INDUSTRY?

What do you think of pursuing a bachelors in IT? I am a recent high school graduate and I decided to go to CC and then State University to build a foundation in IT to jumpstart my career.

I think that is a great way. Saves you a lot of money and I think that is especially important at your age. Society expects high school graduates to make life altering decisions at that age and then it turns into an expensive education if one would go straight to university. CC is low cost and you can identify more easily if this area is something for you. Or maybe you want to get into software development or something non-IT altogether. @@ITCareerGuide my university and CC program offers opportunities for IT certifications. My parents expected me to go to college; I had no regrets so far as it’s a safer path for myself. I was able to get my first work-study job and IT help desk after I graduate with AA degree. I plan to become a sysadmin so having an IT degree will help me ease into management or higher positions.
