The C8 is absolutely a killer deal even as the basic Stingray model. The C8 Z06 is going to be every bit of a supercar, can't wait for its release.

James Aron you seem to be forgetting that the NSX is a hybrid and has real torque vectoring. If you don’t know, look it up. Im in the market. It’s time to get rid of my 1st-gen R8. I really wanted to like the C8 but I just can’t get over the ugly rear and front. I have not driven the C8 but after seeing it up close, my mind didn’t change. I’ve drive the NSX for 3-hours. The NSX and probably the C8 too, are at the top of the list for daily drivable supercars which us what I’m looking for.

@@AMGF815 I know all about the NSX specs. It's not only about performance and you can''t argue the price difference. The C8 interior is vastly superior to the NSX, I even prefer the C7 interior to be honest. This is where you'll be involved with the car most of the time, but I agree with your opinion about the C8 rear. I'm hoping the Z06 will be an improvement. Right now the back end looks very busy with conflicting lines and I much prefer the center exhaust of the C7. Big mistake on GM's part.

James Aron drive the car first. I had ZERO interest in the NSX. I’ve been daily driving my 1st-gen R8 Spyder for years. One day a dealer friend let me take the new NSX out by myself. I thought I would bring it back 30min later. I kept it for 3 hours. I fell hard for it. I had know idea just how good it really is. Torque vectoring is amazing! Achieved by the electric motors, something that so far, only very expensive hybrids can do, like the Porsche 918. The NSX, like reported, is like a 918 for a whole lot less. The daily drivability of the NSX is one of it’s greatest assets. It’s a supercar made for people who want to drive it as often as they want and with no fuss. I can’t tell you enough how crazy people went over the NSX. I must have had 100 people take pics of it in those 3 hours. My old R8 still gets a lot of attention but not like the NSX. And then when I borrowed a family friends Huracan for a week. He warned me about the hate the car gets. I didn’t think it would be as bas as it was given that here in Malibu/Los Angeles county, we have supercars everywhere everyday. For some reason Lamborghinis bring out rage/hate in some people. It’s really odd to me. But in the NSX I was actually literally getting a lot of thumbs up. What it comes down to for me is that the NSX is very exotic but without way too much drama. Yes, the interior is not as impressive as it could have been but some of us actually like it. As for the C8, I’ve heard from several owners that they have already detected interior issues that they believe are present or on the way. The C8 interior looks really good on camera but it’s not as high quality as it would seem. That doesn’t surprise me because at the cost, something had to give. The main reason I haven’t already bought an NSX is because I’ve been waiting for confirmation on a convertible model since I love convertibles. Unless a Spyder does get released, I’ll be getting a slightly used NSX within the next 6-months or less, paying between 110k and 120k for it, 100% tax deductibility as a “corporate vehicle.”

@@AMGF815 If the NSX can go through a Canadian winter without major drama then I'd definitely be interested. As a daily driver I have no doubt it is better than most sports cars of any price bracket. I hear you about C8 interior quality, and it's not only limited to the interior. Apparently, there are certain defects in body panel alignment that is noticeable up close. I heard paint quality isn't up to snuff either. GM was never known for build or material quality, so it's not surprising. However, you can't fault the engine of any Vette. They're rock solid. The NSX interior is not bad, just not up to par with even some mid-range German models, only my opinion. The Japanese are known for their conservatism but a car _this_ expensive should have been given a more avant garde interior treatment. To be frank, I've seen nicer interiors from both Lexus and Infinity, again only my opinion. The exterior is very nice, especially with a few tasteful mods. The car is a looker and desirable, there's no doubt about that. Regarding Lambos, over here they're not a daily sighting but I think I understand the hate. Every time I see one regardless of the owner, they're always driven as if the driver owns the road and no one else is around. They speed through small neighborhood streets recklessly, rev their engines obnoxiously loud *constantly* and take every available opportunity to make their presence known whether moving or parked, as if driving one of the most extroverted vehicles ever made is not sufficient enough to grab one's attention. Yeah, I understand the negative sentiment...

I love this car so much I sold my 17 and got a 19 for the updates, price wise you can't beat this. I got it with 1905 miles, 2019 model for updates, warranty can't be beat when it comes to car's like this, the spec I wanted with a few extra options I didn't get on my 17 and all that cost me below 130k

Watching this, I very much understand having an underrated car. Owning a 2015 Beetle Turbo is interesting when you have people claim it's feminine or a "chick car" and some wondering why I'm putting money into it when I could have bought a GTI or GLI instead. I own one because the Beetle is what got me into cars in the first place and I've always had a thing for retro-inspired designs with a bit more character, which is definitely what makes the Beetle stand out despite it being almost mechanically identical to a MK6 Golf/GTI. I've learned it's really about respecting everyone's passions in the car community and realizing not everyone is in it for the same reasons. But that's also what makes being a car guy so great at the end of the day; you get to meet many different kinds of people and learn new things or see different perspectives every day.

The modern/water-cooled VW community is mostly a circle-jerk of people who have Golfs and Jettas, whether they be GTIs, R32s, GLIs, you name it. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE those cars and have massive respect for others' projects; however, the New Beetles get virtually zero recognition and appreciation amongst the mainstream sadly.

I own a ‘19 NSX with the complete Science of Speed setup which bumps it up 96 hp with the JB4 on 3... it only adds 1 psi of boost. The car is stupid fast when bone stock so people talk trash but they better be driving a Turbo S or GT2.

The NSX is an amazing car. I used to be a salesman at a Acura dealership for 8 years. And what a saw with most customers when buying a Acura even though Acura is offering the best option in their cars customers would buy a strip down version of another manufacturer because of the name. I think that’s why the NSX isn’t selling the way it should. What people might not know is the car has the same technology like the LA Ferrari that cost 3 million dollars. Acura stock has out performed cars that’s a 100 thousand plus more,So I think it’s price well in my view.

I grew up riding Honda motorcycles. I've owned about 10. I currently own an AP1 S2000, which I've had for 13 years. I traded in my '13 Gen V Viper GTS in Adrenaline Red for the NSX you see pictured left, build #1816. The car is amazing. It's my daily driver, and I've put it through two Canadian winters on the prairie in Saskatchewan, Canada, where temperatures reach below -30C often. It doesn't care. You push the start button and it starts. You press the gas pedal and it goes.......fast. It is sounding better and better as the KM's click by. I've got a little over 17,000 km on it (10,000 miles). The intake and exhaust sounds have become more pronounced. I just love the car. It's everything I expected and more. I loved my Viper, but this car is a superior piece of automotive engineering and style. From the 9 speed DCT to the hybrid power, and the flying buttresses, you really can't beat it. I do all the maintenance on it myself. Three oil/filter changes, both air filters, cabin filters, and I'm going to change the twin motor fluid up front later this month. Oh, btw, I've never seen another one on the road.........probably never will. I like that.

I couldn’t ask for much more low end / off the line power but the tiny turbos lose steam up top. I trapped mid 150s in the 1/2mi on a hot ass day. Wouldn’t mind trapping 170-180s and having a better 60-130 time.

In 15 or 20 years, so many people will realize this car is incredible. NSX is just a name, the old NSX was great, this new NSX is great. They are nothing alike, but this new one just seems to be an amazing car, and it's really frickin sad that no one is buying it, because they are only after the meme supercars, like the 911, R8, McLarens, Lamborghinis, and even the C8 Corvette. Only two were sold in Australia one year, and Acura pulled out after that. Sad sad times for this car, where it's supposed to be making waves so it can continue to exist.

I just thought since the beginning the new NSX was a VERY good looking car, and it hasn't worn off like a Ferrari F430, Audi R8, or 911. I thought, if I ever can afford a mid-engine sports car, I would probably be an NSX, because I keep coming back to it, as I watch videos showcasing that it's a brilliant car.

I have a 2017 NSX with a simple Ktuner ECU flash. It's crazy fast and compared to the GTR, it is more refined overall. I will add downpipes and exhaust later which will drastically improve the sound and add another 50hp.

To me the exhaust being so quiet is due to the fact that it is a hybrid. So when you are driving in all electric and it switches over to gasoline it would be a very noticeable switch over if the exhaust is loud.

you can actually get them for under 110k for 2017 with low miles or -130k for the 2019's with all the new updates and tires with less than 2k miles like mine. I never buy new on these type of cars. The warranty on them is pretty good, honda ate a 60k bill when they had to replace the heads for my 2017 last year no questions asked and some dealerships are cool with you modding the car and still cover it under warranty plus since I had my NSX back in 17 I haven't had a single issue aside from the big repair which was caused by mechanic fault actually, you can legit daily this thing is not too stiff, is hybrid and quiet if you want it to or let it rip when you feel like it. You won't find anything for the same price on the use market that can go toe to toe and like he said, it is a unique car you just don't see them every day and it attracts a lot of attention.

My dream car for sure; hope to one day get a 2022 Type-R with a lift kit so I can drive it in the winter. Driven many cars, bought the best TL I could find and it instantly became my favorite car ever. Driving it around in the winter it's the king of the road, everyone has trouble with traction while the Acura handles it like it's a day in the park. The only other vehicles with as good as traction in the winter are Jeeps. Even other rally cars like Subaru and Mitsubishi don't perform as well in the winter because the Acura's SH-AWD is unreal. As long as the quality and the SH-AWD is there I'll be buying Acura for life. I trollolol up hills sipping coffee while everyone else spins their tires on ice, literal king of the road. The driving experience is a cross between a rally that car rides like it's on rails and a luxury Bentley that is smooth and silky. That experience with 650hp and 4 motors... could probably get it over 700hp with a little work. I still get excited thinking about driving my 9 year old sedan, can only imagine what the NSX Type-R would be like. Sorry for the fanboy rant, can't stop thinking about the '22 Type-R.

Respect from the UK as an old school Civic Type-R owner when you say you like Honda's people give you a funny strange look or in your words accura, the way I look at it is with part of an exclusive club unless you've driven these cars you don't know the feel they give you and the fun Factor they have. journalists that Drive the NSX are surprised at how good is it took them a long time to develop fair enough but when Honda do something they do it properly and you always know in the back of your mind you can rely on their reliability which you can't always say that with other manufacturers especially supercars. I knew a British guy that Owned an Audi R8 and the gearbox blew up after 1000 miles I just laughed and said that wouldn't have happened in a Honda NSX. Considering this was there only second try at supercar I did extremely well and you know it's going to evolve into something extremely special in the next gen

Exactly....its insane to think its not. And with an extra 130hp over factory, im sure it crests the 200mph mark. Theres so much more about the car than that power.....and its a usable 570-700hp.....I cant beleive I just said that. The NSX will catch on. It shares the identical goal as the first.....although at slightly less of a bargain of the original, but still well priced in my opinion. It appeals to a different buyer than a 458.....put 160,000 miles on this car, and then the 458, and see how they fair 😆

This is probably the most reliable car you'll get among the supers. People can laugh all they want about how you should have bought something else. This car will easily be able to do 100k miles with no issues. Wher were as you see lambos and ferraris falling apart at like 30k miles.

Probably the very best supercar one can buy along with anything made by Lexus. You very well may get 200,000 plus miles on that car before any major work is needed if you take good care of it and keep that oil changed. With the European exotics, all I can say is know a good mechanic and a good towing service.

Haters also talked bad about the original nsx but now love it. Same thing will happen to this one. People need to get it out of their heads "oh its a Honda" get an Audi. What has Audi or any VW group cars done in F1? Last time I checked, Honda engine was better than Ferrari in F1 also. My only complaint, is the trunk space getting hot and that can be annoying for your groceries. Lol.

It’s like they said in the video, it’s reminiscent of the gen 1, but the price of the gen 1 went waaay down before it went up especially in 2001-2005 for a first gen nsx, you could find them for under $30k, that being said the C8 is looking like a clear bargain and if you want to spend $150k the C8 z06 is coming which will most likely be insane

ok as an owner of both, a C8 does not come close performance wise to this NSX ( especially the 19+ ) the NSX will smoke it and the tech is actually better in the NSX ( mini-cheap 918 ), Price wise you can get a NSX for under 115k with super low miles, warranty and they are actually a lot cheaper to upkeep because it is a Honda unlike Chevy's track record when it comes to power trains and everything else. Everyone's opinion is different but when people think the C8 is a better car are purely lying to themselves also base line C8 is cheap but everyone I know who's order one has options and most are LT2 packages costing over 80k and some close to 97k that's not cheap at all and Chevy is not throwing any incentives for a car rated at 490hp which is not the overall picture and now that people are driving them, tracking them we can see is not as amazing on the corners and 1/4 well still behind things like GT-R, NSX, AMG GT-R etc. Now don't get me wrong the C8 is an amazing car a lot better than a BMW M4 CS which should be is direct competitor for performance and price point but a M4 GTS which you can also get for that price will outdo it on a track.

@@shouldigetit Yea I heard they were quick. I just don't know how much quicker. Tuned VAP stage 3 with dual pully and downpipe. Sitting at 3.0- 3.1 to 60 and consistently 11.2 on the 1/4mile so it should be a tad quicker stock. But I can't leave anything stock lol.

Meh....its actually not difficult to buy an NSX over a Huracan. The cost to insure a Lamborghini is like $500 a month vs like $150-200 for an NSX. $500/month is a lot of money for a car sits in the garage most of the time (most Huracan owners don't daily drive their cars).

10k? Well, it would cost far more but an NSX with wide-body kit looks deadly. I'm not into excessive aerodynamics with sky-high wings, canards and asphalt-scraping diffusers for a road car, but do have a soft spot for tasteful wide-body modifications (had a custom kit on my early 90s first gen DSM 30 years ago). Unfortunately, the price would be many times more than 10k from what I've been eye-balling on aftermarket sites, and I don't know what effect it will have on resale value. Anyway, love the car man, looking forward to more content.
