wow! this is so cool! one of my favorite songs on 8 bit, i really like the 8 bit sounds reminds me of my childhood and makes me remeber megaman and everything, crap i need the 80s back in my life!

If my life was 8-bit, it would be on the NES, programmed with the Game Genie in consideration. Enter a code, get an effect. The one downside is instead of simple signal interruption it would have to consider what code interrupts what signals. And the video output as well as controller input would have to be on the cartridge itself. It would make it have the same appeal to deciding what orientation the Wii console is to play Gamecube games. Front-loader (or toaster), it'd be fairly normal. Top-loader, it would be vertical, and a sudden yank can have the potential to completely destroy it, but it works.

if i had a serious interest in music, and actually put time towards learning the piano and music in general, I would be remaking songs into 8-bit :P

@anarkobob, you should check out the group Anamanaguchi. They specialize in performing nothing but 8-bit music.
