Yo... 12 years ago yesterday, because of this video, because of this man (musical wonder) no hands on or physical instructor, i am where i am today in the Gospel industry; playing and becoming MD for gospel recording artists. i’m currently 23, do the math. I’m blessed and humble. Thank you sir for being my first music instructor and teaching me everything from number system to tritone to preaching chords and praise breaks. TGBTG!

@laidyeh Thanks! When I look at a Hammond I always try to determine the age and model by looking at details like this. Sometimes it's even possible to approximate the age of a B model simply by looking at the cabinet itself!

@crustylion123 Ok just to make sure I follow you.. You are saying that 1962 is the year that Hammond manufactured the B3 model without percussion? In other words all of the other years the B3 was manufactured Hammond built them with percussion EXCEPT for the year 1962 ?
@ImmanuelsMusic17 жыл бұрын
Thanks man, yea I was wondering about that name at first, then u cleared it up lol
@ThatsABiggon14 жыл бұрын
@nolagemini ...(four sets of drawbars, 22 reverse colored presets, 25 or 32note pedalboard ) which are all you need to sound great (oh yeah... & talent). Percussion can always be added if you even want it & vibrato is great, but not needed. B-3, C-3, RT-3, D-100, & A100 organs are all the exact same just with different cabinets & the latter 2 organs have internal speakers for compact home use. Hope this helps.
@fnkyolsol12 жыл бұрын
I love this playing. Would you say the underlying harmony is basically a 2 chord progression (implied) with a blues scale and every chromatic motion you can think of on top? It's cool!
@CoCMember15 жыл бұрын
Wow...I love this!
@nolagemini14 жыл бұрын
ok help me. whats the different types and the whats the best the B3 or something else Because G.E. Patterson's organs always sound GREAT
@HammondB3TipsDotCom13 жыл бұрын
@crustylion123 Wow man I'm impressed... But It's strange that Hammond would manufacture B3's with percussion before and after 1962 and they would stop for just for one year.. So you are saying that the Hammond in this video is a 1962 B3 and that's why it doesn't have percussion?
@cengeb11 жыл бұрын
SLICK! Keep on moving!! Got Energy
@ThatsABiggon14 жыл бұрын
@nolagemini, ... (like the one in this video which is a BC or BCV not a B-3) others had the vibrato but it wasn’t selectable for each keyboard individually, & the 2 series had the same features as the 3 series just without percussion. If it has tonewheels, waterfall keys, & two 61 key keyboards with a Leslie you'll be happy, as all older tone wheel organs have the same basic features

@ImmanuelsMusic15 жыл бұрын
the percussion are sliders, the trek 2 system on the left side, you can't see it on this vid...and yea the hardware model is not a b3 but the was made into a b3 on the inside, it was customized
@apostolic161716 жыл бұрын
Can u please tell me where u guys got your B3. It sound really Good. And what leslie model are you using?
@sdeeeezy17 жыл бұрын
oh my God you can see the anionting on his fingers and hands. what church do you go to and where do you play?
@ThatsABiggon14 жыл бұрын
@nolagemini, most people would say B-3 is best, but in a recording they couldn't tell a b-3 from a model A. All console tone wheel organs basically sound the same. they just have different cabinet/body styles which is the model’s letter (i.e. A, B, C, D, E, RT, etc.) & options/ series which is the models numbers & in older models the second letter (i.e., C, V, 2, 3, 100). Some older models didn’t have vibrato, some had this weird useless “tremulant” & chorus generator .....
