I'm OBSESSED with this necromancy lore. Necromancers with a huge reverence for life is one of those counterintuitive ideas that makes so much sense when you think about it. I love it when things that are typically dark and spooky or evil-coded are actually much more benevolent under the surface than was assumed. The backstory that they imprisoned God so long that the god died and they used its skull as a castle is SO badass, and such a good take on the stereotypical evil lair. I also love how the themes of the castle itself are reflected in the surrounding environment. It's so clear how much thought and intelligence and care goes into all this worldbuilding, and the swamp and village turned out AMAZING. These videos are so fun and creative, every one of them is a treat.

Lore idea. About the trees; how about calling them Dead-Man Graves (mangraves for short) and they have a myth about them sprouting from the graves of people not given a proper burial. Or how about Soul Catcher Pines and stories are told about how they a guardians of the souls of the wrongly executed. Honestly this take on Necromancy, wraiths, liches, etc is very creative. I love when people subvert what many assume to be the sort of evil scourge of a fantasy world. Really well done thematically and of course the building is amazing. But at this point I don't think anyone's surprised with how crazy your past builds for this world have been.

Another fun fact about the cypress tree that makes it fit even more into this build is that in some spiritualities/religions, it's actually got the symbolism of death and the cycle of life, so it's definitely awesome that you chose them to base your trees off of.

Hello Shovel, I am an avid fan of your videos and I wanted to help you in accordance with the lore and history of your intricate fantasy world. I have prepared a massive lore idea that might help you a lot in creating your world. I have also been writing a giant fantasy world so I may or may not know how it feels to be faced with such a colossal task, so I am here to help. Let's begin: So Imagine something like an... Opposite dimension, what I mean is like a dimension not found in your world that is evil, and is a giant wasteland, something like an underworld but not really. |Description| •So here is my idea. A giant nether-like landscape where the ground is just a barren landscape of dark looking stone, a place of everlasting heat and darkness and evil, the waters are of nothing but blood and lava, I call it Malevoria or "Pit of Doom". •This place is ruled by the evil god Vargoirn(god of terror) (Var-Goy-Rurn), he looks filfthy, a head of a demon with three eyes, the middle eye is white while the other two are red, he has four horns (you decide where to put them), a floating Upper Body (he has no lower body), he also has 6 arms, two of which are massive spiritual looking skeleton arms. His skin color is read and he is very buff, he also has two skeleton heads on his shoulders as just a fashion choice of his, he is also not wearing a shirt since... Well idk. Well everything else is up to you. •He has a pet called Vainar, a wyvern with scales tougher than obsidian and fiery orange/red eyes that can burn anyone that looks directly unto it, he has two horns that have the color of a bone block and his tale can wrap around a building indicating his massive size. •Malevoria is a seperate dimension located outside of Etheria which can only be accessed through rigorous rituals or places where even the gods fear to go to, or unknown places with eerie vibes or portals that were lost in time. |Society| •In Malevoria, there is a hierarchy based on how powerful you are(5), which are the ghouls, beasts, demons, reapers, and Destructors. The ghouls are just basic citizens of Malevoria, they consist of power stronger than ordinary groups of humans (about a group of 5-10) but they are not that strong in Malevoria. Beasts can destroy entire camps of people (about 15-30 people). Demons can destroy entire buildings of people (about 50-100 people). Reapers can destroy multiple buildings or even cities of people (500-2000 people). And Destructors, only consisting of 7 members can destroy about 5 nations max (idk anymore). And if you are a little confused, I meant by the amount they can destroy, they can do all those destruction each. •The Destructors are quite literally, the right hand men of Vargoirn, they live in the castle of Vargoirn called The Twisted Crown(the castle is located in the highest peak called mount void), and they each represent a deadly sin (You can make their names or I can comment extra to write them). So the reapers, they live in manors and mansions up in the mountains. The demons live in middle class houses near the volcanos or halfway through mountains where the reapers live. Beasts live in small houses below the mountains and near Lava lakes. And finally, the ghouls live in caves, yeah, just in caves. |Lore and History| So the main part of the history is that in the days of creation, the god mightiest of them all Aiavan sought to enslave the gods for his own entertainment causing him to be basically ganged up on, and thrown in Malevoria along with his angel now turned ghoul Minions. He introduced evil to the hearts of men especially to the Alphas which caused them to Exterminate the Omegas. He also created the beasts of the land and introduced war to men. But his most evil deed is the introduction of dark magic, a magic never before seen in Etheria which destroyed the balance of magic due to its formidable power. Why hasn't dark magic been introduced yet you may ask? Well it is simple, the gods have agreed to not introduce this filfth to man and to keep it a secret for it will only cause war and despair and people will try to dominate each other. Yeah, so that is it... Pls read and try to consider this, my head and hands hurt, I have been typing for 5 hours now, Welp, if I need to give more lore, I will be glad to.

Lore idea for new species,(I'm taking inspiration a bit from totk zonai) The krystalites, a race created by the rathen which are golems made from crystals. Depending from which type of crystals the krystalites can have godly elemental powers, for example a ruby krystalite has the power to summon a massive fire dragon, ascend through walls and telekinesis. Each krystalites however has a special arm which is were they can conduct their spells, if they use their other arm it won't work. During an outbreak all krystalites migrated to another region of your choice. The krystalites are incredibly smart with the dumbest ones as smart as the reaper but they are weak in bodily strength hence why they rely so heavily on their speels. The krystalites live in caves believing that the deeper underground a krystalite is the deeper is your connection to the great one (what they call the god of the realm) Krystalites are able to fuse their bodies to objects making them have better physical strength or new powers but a krystalite can only be fused to one and can never unfuse themselves, for example if one fuses itself to a bone it will mutate into a half golem have skeleton able to perform a weaker form of necromancy than the rathen but still quite powerful. They will live in a massive custom mineshaft with a huge centerpiece known as the Diamond of the Kryonis, Kryonis is the king of the Krystalites who has ice powers and is the only krystalite which can fuse himself to more than 1 item, he lives inside of the castle of kryslite which is what holds the diamond on top of the castle similar to how the tower of barad-dur hold the eye of sauron. This is the end of the lore for now and shovel will create the rest.

If u want to name the trees u made something it could be Nercos Cypress the way these trees got these names is from the people of Mirewood Village putting their dead kin into the trees adding a more spooky and eerie feel to the swamp. While also providing the trees with nutrients and could even give people who aren't residents of the swamp a semi level of paranoia. This will be fueled by the occasional skulls they could be found in the murky waters and trees as this would be a sacred ritual related to the village and only the villagers would ever know about this. Tho this is just me

Here's a lore idea: A Volcanic Fortress that was made by Dwarves in the north, they used the heat of the volcano to forge weaponry from its fiery breath. They started to worship the mountain and called it "Ignis Deitas" or Fire Deity. One day the Volcano grew tired of the dwarves and created a sword of glittering metal like never seen, no dwarf would be able to resist. The Legendary Sword named: "Ferracaloris" One dwarf named Amali took the sword and cursed his people, the dwarves became dark ignus spirits and could never leave the hot safety of the mountain, lest they flicker out. Amali was cursed differently. Whilst his brethren lost themselves, he regained everything, all his memories. The power of the blade made him strong and bigger than the tallest giants, but he was sealed within stone with only his eyes spared to see the aftermath of his failure. Amali, cursed to sit on an obsidian throne, frozen in stone with the Ferracaloris bonded to his hand, forever. The fortress can be an abandoned city covered in ash and haunted by dark spirits and maybe mobs like Wither Skeletons, Ghasts and other spectral enemies. Outside the volcano can be a dwarf town that stayed away from the demonic mount, it is bustling with many ores to trade. Maybe they use some steam engines with their knowledge of temperature and heat. The Dwarves of the north never used magic but were able to build technology to make life easier, this is also a result of their fear of the evil magic of the Ignis Deitas. I Hope you see this; I LOVE your story series and some of the builds inspired my own novel, and I would love to give a hand in some future building adventures

he already did something like this in one of his videos about a forge. The video's called "building in creative mode is "Easy"". It's a bit of a different idea but there are similarities.

I like to think that the ward stones start their life connected to the ground when they are first built and if they aren’t repaired quickly enough they have to be fully rebuilt. It feels like the ability to build ward stones is a lifelong profession and is one of the most coveted roles to be accepted into. I think it would be cool as well if there was a coven of wrathians that were in charge of up-keeping the stones. Just my personal lore ideas

Hi,Shovel! I have an idea for a build in the space/abyss mesa. Hope it could inspire you. The City of Renol was once a mesmerising location with large quartz structures towering above the many intertwining bridges conecting them, sat in the wasteland behind the iris of The Dark Storm in the middle of the area. The city was much more advanced compared to all of the other setlements in the world, being able to draw strange celestial power from the storm and from the magnetic field around it. It was then that a strange being saw how advanced the city was and decided that it knew too much. In the folowing years, pitch black holes began apearing everywere in the city and looking up at the sky turned people to nothingness. The last things heard from them, sent to the minds of each life of the world were agonising screams. No sane being dares to go near the city, for the screams are loud there. The city, now barely seen in the dark sky is ruined, black, standing in place and time like a statue in a picture, the souls still wailing and scretching in fear, stuck in their portrait of nothing.

If you want to add anything else, I think you could add some chains here and there, the like crown. I’m not a pro builder, but I think it would be pretty cool

have the crown looked like it's being held down by chains and much more oppressive/invassive like they chiseled pieces of this God's skull away in order to rest an unholy necrotic crown upon it.
