In my view the shovelhead was the best motor Harley ever made. I have owned flatheads panheads Shovels Evo's and twin Cams. The Evo and Shovelhead are easy to work on and maintain. After working on other guys twin cams and seeing the issues they had i sold both my twin cams. I am down to my 72 H FLH I had for 31 years and my 98 FLSTF.

Love that sound , I had an 82 shovel, came with a starter, we put a kick start on and man it wasn't easy, so a dude with his first kick impressive.

Oil pressure gage mounted that way is pretty much useless as it can't be seen from riding position. Not how we did it anyway. Nor do we sag our pants. Nice bike though.

Hammer them inward to fold into the frame.

@@Norvell07 I actually hammered them out and welded the seam. Drilled holes and mounted the tank with bolts underneath that way.
