Those pipes wouldn't last five minutes on my Shovel, here in the UK there aren't many straight roads. I would grind them of on every right hand bend, the foot boards on mine are grazed to hell, sparks and load scraping noises every corner.

I think dono8674 was asking why there was no filler rod used when the pipes were finish welded. If there is enough material to begin with, and the tolerance is tight, no filler is necessary. These are exhaust pipes. They do not need to hold a lot of weight, if any, and are not actually "structural."

All original rebuilt parts, Harley should’ve have made it 2 bolt, but made the one flange work great
