Yoyoka, please don't judge the United States by California. You've seen fires, endured landslides and have seen the worst of our nation being in the Los Angeles area. There really are nice places in this country. Rock on!

Fantastic, YOYOKA is so comfortable regardless of setting! “Hey hey you’re blocking the talent “ 😂

As I've said before, Yoyoka can keep a box of pots and pans falling down the stairs in time. Among a group of professionals she still stands out.

Good lord you played on stage with VERNON REID. An absolute legend. I have been a Living Colour fan since their first album. What an experience - and what a performance!

As others have said, this is an all-star band - these are folks that have backed and been part of some of the biggest artists of the past century... and you were chosen to provide the power behind them. That's insane, and insanely cool! Love the jam night vibe here, because even though it's a vastly bigger stage than the local jam nights I've been to (and helped stage), the exact same sound issues crop up haha. As always, the playing is rock solid and a revelation, but at least a few musicians lose out because of non-working mics, etc. Oddly enough, for me that is what makes for a successful jam night. But we could hear you, and I'm so glad they had a camera on you to project.

Unbelievable! You sound like you've been with them for a while. How awesome to play with these great musicians. You'd never think a teenager from Japan was behind the drums! AWESOME!!!!

Yoyoka right at home with the other pros on stage. She really gets the “slinky” feeling of this song.

What an all star band she has there! If they played all of the collective hits those individuals on stage have been part of, the show would have run long into next morning.

What can we say about Yoyoka without mentioning her hyper-professional side, always flawless performances. And it does the soul good.

I cannot help but ponder on the stories about the Steely Dan work ethic. Surely Yoyoka epitomises it. Thoroughly prepared! With creativity thrown in. Crosses genres with ease and live is the perfect foundation for a scratch band who are unable to rehearse together. Your dedication to your craft is paying dividends Yoyoka. Thank you.

I did not read the video description, so every performer that was announced at the beginning made me go 😲. What an honor to play with such a group, but of course Yoyoka made it look easy.

I think the best comment is to just quote Stuart Hamm from that ins*** thing: "What a great pocket and groove you have! Let’s play more music together" And that means something, coming from one of the best bass players in the world, with decades of experience. And one more thing, many said that this is an all star band, but also check out the drummers who played before Yoyoka: Joe Travers, Kenny Aronoff , Marco Minnemann. And then Yoyoka, as equal to them.

@@OmegaTI Koma knows, but Google Translate doesn't. Japanese doesn't have his / her etc, so Google Translate has to guess. A lot of other languages have similar 'problems'.

For all "casual" watchers - look up the names of the musicians on the stage. This is an All Star band, like others already said. Also, the next song on the show was Sunshine Of Your Love. And that was painful to watch. You guessed it - Yoyoka wasn't the drummer. What a wasted opportunity. She can nail that song casually playing on live stream. Her version is much, much better.
@ThePallidor4 күн бұрын
Sunshine of Your Love is one of my very favorites of hers. Really adds a lot of wild jungle feel to it.

I would've liked to hear a different Steely Dan song. Show Biz Kids is one of their weaker songs and also one of their longest. Cool seeing Yoyoka tear it up regardless.

Do people know the original? Why do they believe you can play Steely Dan impromptu? Indeed, it very much sounds like this is not the best idea. Anyway, it was NAMM again, and someone had to rock the party. The virtual congregation loves it, don't they?
