Show Keystrokes in Camtasia 9 (Generate callouts automatically)

I'm using Camtasia 2018 on a Mac. I can not find the Record Keystrokes setting. I want to record a form and show the fields being filled as I record. I can see the cursor, but can not interact with the form?

Hi. The Generate Keyboard Callouts is not under the modify pulldown menu. Hmmm. I have the trial version but it said all features should be available

Thanks a lot. This was helpful and I just added keystrokes to my newest video. Maybe another hint: If keystrokes are missing you can just copy an existing one and change the keystroke (like you see at 2:25). Cheers, Struktur-Stefan

Hi Hadi, that's a great question! No one has asked me that before. First I used the Pan and Zoom effect under animation. Then I inserted a custom keyframe, went to properties and changed the Rotation on the Y axis. You've inspired me. My next tutorial I will dedicate to answering your question. Keep an eye out for it in the next couple of weeks.

When using Windows, it only shows CTRL. It might seem obvious, but to some Mac users it might be nice to also show COMMAND shortcut key. Any idea how to add it such as CTRL + C / CMD + C?

@@democastmedia3235 yes I am a software trainer and project manager Articulate captures all key strokes and generates a presentation and allows "testing' I like it a lot they have a free cloud version. good luck

Hey Vere, sorry for late reply.Can you tell me a bit more about what's going with the sound? What do you do with the audio settings once you've recorded? Is it your voice over or system audio that sounds bad?

@@democastmedia3235 System audio sounds bad (i haven't tested mic audio, cuz my mic is bad and i don't need to record my voice anyways). I haven't processed it. Just straight from camtasia recorder to camtasia studio (It is doing it automatically). It sounds like low bitrate (both 44 100Hz nor 48 000Hz doesn't help) and compressed clipping (Lowering audio doesn't help either) Video comparison here kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWKbkKSjp51ml9E

Hi Vere, thanks for your patience. I can hear the difference in sound quality. Which version of Camtasia are you using? The short answer is, I'm not sure why that's happening. All I can recommend is, when you open the recorder controls, go to Tools/Options/Inputs and look at Audio section. Maybe if you try lowering the levels here it may reduce the distortion? Maybe??? If that doesn't work, TechSmith support would have more insight. Hope you're able to get to the bottom of it.

Hi Portugal Designlab, I'm not sure why that's the case. I'm not a Mac user anymore. I find that the Mac version of Camtasia has more cool features than the Windows version so I'm not sure why it wouldn't be working.
