I am so sorry you are having to live through a situation like that. Most of us see it from a distance and have no idea how hard it must be everyday to wake up and realize the nightmare is real. I hope someday soon you will find peace. xoxo

I'm amazed to see so many people growing angel's trumpets in L.A. The smell is intoxicating and they're beautiful, granted, but so fatally toxic! I got sick just from touching one once and inhaling (before I knew).

I just came across your channel. What a great idea of showcasing other gardener's videos on your channel. I have been gardening since 2022, and I love to garden. I live in zone 9b SW, Florida, and I have a unique situation where I live in a mobile home community. I grow tropical fruit trees and plants, and I have 12 raised beds. I do all the gardening myself. I have been documenting my garden from the beginning, taking lots of photos and videos. Next time you do one of these series, I would love to enter my garden in zone 9b SW Florida. Happy gardening. 😊

Would love to hear from gardeners who live near the coast especially from San Luis Obispo county on the central coast, 😅our weather is more like Pacific Grove and coastal Carmel. Zone 10, our climate here in Cambria hardly ever gets over 74. Love all videos. Thank you for telling us about Robbie, love his channel too.
All Lilly pillies have edible berries with cherry-pit sized seeds. I’m about 2 hours north ( = closer to the equator), and have similar issues with plant types, planting times, and humidity - but humidity is only an issue over summer, as where we are situated, it is quite dry throughout the winter. Palm trees, frangipani (aka Pulmaria), yuccas, dracaena, and crepe myrtle all do really well here, as do vines like sandpaper vine, and Mandevilla.

Love Sharon’s advice…I’ve planted cucumbers and tomatoes in pots before to experiment with placement due to sun, shade, etc…now I want to see if I can grow a type of peach tree or hydrangeas bc I don’t have much shade but want to create areas or microclimates to test it out!

Hi Janey and Meg, I thought that you may like to know that there are so many gorgeous varieties of Lilly Pillies, and most do grow in zones 9a to 10b. Some will even survive in 8b, so long as there are no deep freezes, and they are planted in a sheltered position. I live near the range on the Sunshine Coast, Qld. in a zone equivalent of US 9b, and some years 10a and we have happy, healthy lilly pillies. Apparently they do not like cold temperate or arid climates. They prefer full sun to semi shade, and some will tolerate sandy, coastal conditions. Most prefer fertile, moist soil however, can cope with drought when mature. I love the pink berries that cover them once a year, and they are edible and tart. Good for jams and jellies, unless the possums get to them first!
