I came across this video by chance and I must say that I saw some beautiful ones. its a change from the monotony that can be observed in Europe

Hello. I have never heard of show pigeons and this is the first time I have ever seen anything like this. All I have ever seen are the common pigeons in the city before. I literally asked myself if I was hallucinating while looking at some of these birds. They are unbelievable.

+Bob B. It's rare you see show pigeons in the wild, they tend to get killed by predators like sparrowhawks.

cool pigeons sad some of them cant fly because of the fashion breeds but hey if they are treated good and have a good life i cant complain. Free food, place, and a vacation with people staring at them.

I uploaded the video so I checked analytics and found that viewers come from 158 countries around the world. United States accounted for 20% of views. India accounted for 19%. Iraq accounted for 3.5%. All the other countries accounted for less than 3% each.

The birds shown in the thumbnail probably have short beaks naturally. They may be Owl Pigeons. Do a Google Images search using 'owl pigeons' and you will find some pictures of some pigeons with short beaks.

I watched a documentary a while ago about Britain keeping pigeons, and it has a section where people modify their pigeons. One of the things they did is that they used the striking paper part of a match box - don't know the specific name of it - to effectively sand down the beaks to a really small size. It's so sad.
