Aunt Lydia’s Rug Yarn was used for Potholders Pothandles for Iron Skillets Potholders for Pan lids. That yarn is Soo Durable and Easy to Work Up. I’m 78 years old and used this yarn when I taught myself to Crochet in the Early Eighties. Back then no videos existed so I self taught using many Magazines like Workbasket. I’m still Crocheting for over 40 years now. I love it. I was working on my son's blanket and watching/listening to you, drooling over all that yummy Yarny goodness all at the same time. I was at my local Michaels earlier and didn't see some of those beautiful colors you showcased 😥. I did see some beautiful colors in the loops and threads brand, however. I have 3 colors of the heathered tweed yarn. I love it. I'm making a sweater with it. I would advise pulling from the outside though because it definitely sticks to itself and is hard to pull from the center. 😊😊😊

For the Heather Tweed yarn, a US10 knitting needle would be quite large for a 3 weight yarn. That may be a misprint, so do a swatch first :) 3 weights are usually a US6
