Underwhelming.. southern missed bloody Sunday last year due to the NBA all star game, the year before that they did a showcase because they had moved the band starting point for the parade, so it's been since 2021 where they had a real battle during Bacchus. I think I was too happy to see Southern back on the scene. I guess you can say they won the battle, but the war was lost

Man both bands were not at their best tbh. I give Southern the edge,it's good to see Valley back in the swing of things but they need alot of work ALOT!! Southern was messing up on songs they been playing since the fall, that mello section is a big down to the program

I hope director Bonds challenges Valley with more complex arrangements, and fundamentals like phrasing and pitch accuracy-intonation. Add to that developing Valleystyle and brand from the past and adding the present. If not they will plateau as a program from jazz to wind ensemble to marching band. Valletta hasn't had a director to show that kind of CARW and that's what they need. Su sounds right here exactly like who they are...a template for loud and range. They didn't have to go all out with volume here and would've sounded way better here. I say thus as a person that got middle schoolers and high schoolers to playing level 5 pieces in 1 month and getting awards without being a full time teacher.

Southern won this battle but southern wasn’t all that either, Valley just was worse sounded like everybody turned up the night before on bourbon or something 😂😂😂 bonds know how to recruit but he definitely need help with arrangements

How you give Valley any points??? All they arrangements were ELEMENTARY. Miguel been using the same songs Reed HS, Tallagedega and not Valley. SMH
