María recorre en una serie de estampas mexicanas, los momentos de dolor y de alegría que la llevan hasta un trágico desenlace.
El ritual de un sacrificio, los demonios que se burlan de ella, calaveras y seres inanimados se tornan en acróbatas o seres míticos.
Las alucinaciones de María, los recuerdos de su pueblo, la plaza, el altar de muertos, las imágenes que se forman en su inconsciente, llevan colorido, música, acrobacia y canto a la escena.
La lotería de personajes desfila frente a una Catrina, acróbatas del aire en telas y listones, espectáculo de malabares con luz negra, son algunas de las manifestaciones de esta singulares tradiciones de México.
XEMPA exalts the cultural richness of Mexico with abundant color passion, folklore and myth.
This show releases emotions and the most beautiful fantasies of the spectators through acrobatics, dance, music and drama.
The “Lotería” characters parade under the look of 3 meters high “Catrina”; fire fans, aerial acrobatics, backlight juggling, are part of this particular representation of Mexican tradition.
History shows the particular view of the Mexican celebration of death.
