“I Am a Stormy Woman”(1987)SHOW-YA Lyrics: Yoshihiko Ando, Music: Keiko Terada (English translation of rough lyrics meaning) As if I was swept away by the wind That blew like an endless stream I chased the lightning that shone so brightly The stormy sky we both saw that day Nothing has changed. Now it's a dead age where dreams can't be born That's just a man's line What changed your mind that you were so strong? I hope you'll never betray yourself I'm a strong woman like a storm I'll blow away the false peace I'm burning like a flame Once more I'll set our world ablaze Blowin'you Women wear glass masks We can hide our true faces from the world And yet, somewhere inside, A man always has a rusty dream that he can't get rid of For the sake of love, even if it hurts I fear nothing now I want to go back to that night in the middle of a distant storm The lightning that ran through us both I am the woman of miracles I open this night that has been closed up And let it go I give birth to the future We can feel each other forever You can get! The lightning that calls tomorrow Woo Woo Now it's ripping through the sky I'm a strong woman like a storm I'll blow away the false peace I'm burning like a flame I want to burn once more The fire of our life Blowin'you /SHOW-YA is a Japanese hard rock heavy metal band with five female members. The band is a pioneer of Japanese girl metal bands composed entirely of women in the 1980s. The predecessor of the band was the band "Medusa" with vocalist Keiko Terada and keyboardist Miki Nakamura, which later changed its name to "SHOW-YA". In 1982, the band won the grand prize in the ladies' division of a band contest sponsored by YAMAHA. In 1985, they made their major label debut with Toshiba EMI Japan. Two songs from their seventh album "Outerlimits" released in 1987, their 8th single "Marginal Lovers" and 9th single "I Am a Stormy Woman" became consecutive hits, and the album sold over 600,000 copies, making them the most popular girls metal band in Japan at that time. The band went through member changes, breakups, and reunions, and is one of those rare bands where the original members are still active with a career spanning over 35 years. SHOW-YA are...
