Something I've never seen commented on: In the months before the queen died, Markle started referring to herself as a princess. She mentioned in I believe it was the Cut interview that when little girls saw her they were meeting "a real-life princess." The Sussex Squad started calling her Princess Meghan, and some of her fawning magazine outlets called her that as well. MY TAKE: Markle knew that the queen didn't have long to live and that Kate would soon be Princess of Wales. Competitive Markle was trying to establish herself as a princess as well. If my interpretation of what I saw is correct, it is positively CHILLING that this was Markle's concern as the queen was dying!

When my husband and I married over 49 years ago I was young Australian lass and he was an American Army Captain of Polish decent. He was Catholic and I was Church of England. I went through encyclopedias to learn as much as I could about both Poland and the USA as well as Catholicism. What I couldn’t find, my hubby filled me in. He also told me about how his grandparents came to America and the names of the boats they came over on. We had been married for three months before I met his family and they were non too happy about their golden boy marrying a foreigner but especially a non catholic. They were not nice and welcoming to me at all. Now with only his brother and sister left they still keep their distance which is fine with me. When our son married, his wife was and is such a joy and I always promised myself I would never treat anyone the way I was treated by my in-laws. My daughter-in-law is a wonderful woman and we are very close. They have been married for 24 years and have fantastic twin boys that have been in our lives since they were born.

When Philip married Elizabeth, he gave up his religion (Greek Orthodox?), his naval career, which was so promising, gave up his Greek citizenship to become a British citizen. Hey Neil, Meghan was simply not a good fit for the Royal family. If Harry had taken William’s advice and taken it more slowly, maybe he would have realized that Meghan would never fit in.
