I kinda like this new Polly they did. But nothing like the original ones from 1992. Their smiley faces, cute and delicate. But I happen to love these new play scenarios, from 2000s until now. They're funny, and well nicely done too and you can have a blast, but I would love doing that with the classic Pollies lol! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I got the lil Princess pad. why is the lid a little loose? is that normal like supposed to be like that?

The lid should be tight but the hinge should be a bit more loose than vintage Polly Pockets.

@@Kerchie I bought three different new pockets online, the other two have tight hinges. when I compare the new ones, princess lid would fall straight down from 90 to 180 degrees. I don't know if this is a quality problem. I wrote to the seller and he said it's normal for the princess one to be more loose than mermaid for example. anyway thank you for your reply. love your videos and pp:)

That doesn't sound right. Mine doesn't fall down that easily. I think you might have just gotten a manufacturing error. It's ok, it happens, and it has happened to me with a couple other sets. :)

Yeah I'm just really not a fan of the modern Polly Pockets. They are nowhere near as cute as the original vintage ones, I hate the dolls' floppy rubbery legs, there isn't as much detail in the actual playset, and the quality is obviously cheaper. For the modern ones I have only purchased the keepsake collection starlight castle. I regret not buying the 30th anniversary Party-time Surprise because now you can't find it anywhere for less than $100. As for these hideouts I pretty much only like the little animals. The dolls, and the playsets just look cheaply made and a bit like happy meal toys.

The much newer ones are pretty cute, but super bulky. I recently had to buy special "legs" to be able to stand them up.

They arent nearly as good as the old ones but I feel like they could be really nice with just a few changes. They have some sculpted details which are nice, but you can barely see them because its all one color. If they just had some painted details and better color schemes it could be really cute. And better legs, maybe even compatible with the old sets. I think they're slowly getting better though, maybe they'll get really good again
