I think you're right, a lot of reactors react to this having absolutely no idea what it is, so it's great to see Lilly listening to it while having some idea of what it's about.

Yes, I've seen some reactors asking why is there a man hanging from a rope above the audience ! (They were American reactors aswell who should have really known). It's horrendous how many Americans don't know their culture or history nowadays. I kid you not one of their reactors was listening to "enola gay" and had no idea that is was about one of the most important aeroplanes in their (and the worlds) history !

What a great job my grandfather exposed me to symphony music in a similar way at Lily's age. He brought me to the Boston Pops where unlike the Boston Symphony the Pops played an array of contemporary music from movies and TV and I was amazed by the music created that I had actually knew of some of what was being played

This performance of The Good The Bad and The Ugly is absolutely amazing. It is identical to the themes used in the movie. It's just so remarkable to see how this iconic piece of music, which we've heard more times than any of us can count, is put together in such a professional way. Thank you for sharing it with Lily.

Hiya Steve and Lilly, I watched The Good The Bad and The Ugly movie a couple of days ago and wow I was pretty impressed. I've only watched a handful of westerns in my life but this movie was fantastic 😎👍apart from this being a brilliant piece of music the storyline was amazing. Loved Tuco in this movie, what a character hah and was so glad Clint shot the rope down at the end, Eli Wallach was a fab actor 👍my favourite part of the movie was at the end when they were in the graveyard, Tuco running between all the gravestones looking for Arch Stanton's grave and then he finds out it's the unknown grave 😎and then they all stand in a circle watching each other waiting to fire. I can see how the music changes at this bit in the film like you said. Now when i listen to this music i can picture in my head the scene and it makes listening to it even better. So glad I watched it, thanks for the suggestion Steve, thoroughly enjoyed the movie 🤠👍

I think also Tuco would definitely have finished Clint off if Clint hadn't been told the name of the grave, he had no other option to keep him alive because he wanted the gold coins, when Clint was crawling through the desert totally dehydrated I just wanted to jump through the telly and give him a bottle a Volvic hah great movie and definitely one we would watch again 👍

@@ajayjackson7727 I love the whole film Ajay, but two of the bits that make me laugh, are when Tuco asks Clint Eastwood "What's the matter?" after he's just dragged him through the desert, and when Tuco is reading the letter saying "See you soon i, idi" and Clint Eastwood takes it and reads out. "Idiot" and tells Tuco "It's for you"

I couldn't love this any more. I already have loved the movie and the soundtrack (and have seen this version many times!), but what hit me was what you two are doing, and the relationship you have . I never had children, but I always imagined that I would be an educator, a helper, to my children. I am a musician, and so much more. I really always imagined myself to be in my personal library (which I lost over 10 years ago) and that my children would know that if they asked a question, I could say "let's learn about it together". And then turn to books; historical, philosophical,, and menial, and let's make sense of it together. Her rapt attention really caught me. And her attention to detail. I love how you didn't push anything (at least I hope you didn't). Remember, and I think you do, to still let her be a child. Dominus vobiscum. -Gregg

Ohh I love this, never heard the orchestra version before but it's absolutely amazing to see how all the instruments come together to produce this genius piece of music. I love the haunting sounds of the woodwind instruments and it was interesting to see the singers plying their part in the piece of music. The first time i heard this song was at the Erasure concert The Tank the Swan and the Balloon but the music was done on a synth, it sounded great but this version is superb. It would be interesting to have Lilly listen to some Bernard Herrmann, or Jerry Goldsmith due to their ability to convey mood and atmosphere with their styles of composition. A lot of people are going to suggest someone like John Williams who, basically, in my opinion, just mixes pretty much the same thing over and over. Goldsmiths mood with Planet of the Apes, or Alien, and Herrmann doing The Day the Earth Stood Still, and The Outer Limits created an atmosphere with their Soundtracks that can't be beat. Ennio Merricone is a great start. Also, would love to see you branch into film reactions; it would be nice to see genuine reactions over youtuber "performances" on react channels. lol
@Lilly8Listens
@Lilly8Listens Жыл бұрын
Thanks for that Malcolm, I have to say that I think Film and TV reactions are definitely more interesting to watch, but the problem there, is finding films suitable for an 8 year old to watch, that I could sit through, and that others would want to see. Something like Harry Potter might be ok, but, (a bit like half the people who react to them) Lilly has seen them. I also imagine the editing process must be a nightmare, because I was watching Jamal the other day, I think he is closing in on a million subscribers, and he was saying why there will be no more Harry Potter reactions on his channel. Basically, whatever he did, KZbin blocked it
@malcolmdrake6137
@malcolmdrake6137 Жыл бұрын
@@Lilly8Listens Thank you for the reply. I never brought up film before because of the editing nightmare, but once you mentioned it... isn't there an option where, once you're done editing, you can allow youtube to remove any copyright issues automatically? I know most people don't like it because it ruins the "flow" of their edit, but in your case it might work, because people just enjoy Lillys honest reactions. Also, I was thinking maybe starting her on the journey of the New Doctor Who, or something along those lines, Doctor Who can be scary for an 8 year old, but it's the good kind of scary kids enjoy. Anyway, in the meantime keep uploading, we all want your channel to succeed.
