Actually the MOST impressive thing is his uncanny ability to jump in his vocal registers. Singing in a language you don't speak is not really that difficult. I've sung in French, Spanish and Latin and I speak nothing but English. But to be able to jump registers like he does!!! With such ease!!! THAT is impressive!

As well as growing up on the streets of the Philippines from the age of seven, he is self taught. He learned this song by listening to recordings and pronuouncing the words in two languages which he did not speak. Now he is married and is a father with a singing career that may take both him and us for many years to come! 💞

aside from him being seated, there are 2 other important factors that must be stated: 1) Neither English nor Italian are his first languages. 2) He grew up in the streets with no parents which meant no vocal training or classes.

@@justinlawdon9611 While that is true for most cases, he's literally one of the few who aren't that proficient in actually speaking English as proficient as one would think, as he wouldn't be needing an interpreter to convey the things he's saying to English speakers despite being able to understanding it well. Like when he went to some shows like the Ellen DeGeneres show back then, and some other shows back then. He's getting better now though.

He is just absolutely astounding, there's not too many people that could even attempt to do what he does. I can think of one other off the top of my head that could probably do this as well as he does and that's Dimash, I'd love to hear him sing both parts of this song, I'd bet he could master it as well, he's certainly got the voice for it, but other than him I can't think of a single other person right now with the range or the ability to so effortlessly switch between all those octaves! Just amazing and stunning! And to think that he literally came from the streets, basically an orphan since he was a young boy, and had this kind of talent. He said he would sing as a child when he was sad or afraid being alone but he had no other training of any kind. Just goes to show that amazing talent can be found anywhere and everywhere!

Sweet reaction, guys. Emily's face was just priceless. He has a very charming stage personality and a beautiful voice of his own. His glancing around is just concentration - he's not looking at anything - does not do that during a performance. Mystery solved. That gesture with his mouth after the song is over is in fun - the sound engineers were teasing him about his female voice, so he looked at them, and "removed" it. Marcelito is indeed amazing. He is a Contralto. Mirriam-Webster's dictionary defines a Contralto as, "Definition of contralto 1a : a singing voice having a range between tenor and mezzo-soprano" Very rare, but many accapella groups have at least one guy with that range. Takes a lot of disipline, but the voice is actually natural and not a falsetto at all, which makes it even more amazing. That's really something!
