LHP Ball --> ball (well inside-high third) --> 2nd pitch lazy fly out (ball low-in - NEED to take that pitch! Very late/jammed) 0/1 BB 3. LHP Strike --> swinging strike (high-in corner, late swing) --> 3rd pitch strikeout (2 of 3 outside zone, 3rd pitch should have been taken - no bueno..) 0/1 4. RHP Ball --> ball (low-in - good take) --> 2nd pitch fly out (mid-in - just late swing) 0/2 BB 5. LHP Ball --> ball (well outside) --> 2nd pitch lazy pop out (speaking of not good...ball inside-low on 1-0 count. No reason to swing at this - very late/jammed to boot) 0/3 BB ***I really didn’t like the quality of your ABs in game 1. Way too aggressive, swinging at junk. A bit unfortunate with a mid-in pitch in AB4, but you swung at crap otherwise. Fortunately, the team didn’t similarly struggle in the blowout season-opening win*** 6. Lucky to live on - low-in corner, good swing/of course weak contact) --> 8th pitch BB (took the long way again, but got the result the game was trying to give!) LHP Strike --> called strike (terrible call - that was a ball - good take anyways - inside black-high third) --> 4th pitch single (high black-mid-out - fortunate result in neutral zone) 1/4 BB 8. LHP Ball --> ball (well inside) --> 4th pitch single (outside black, 2 strikes - early swing - prob ) 2/5 BB 9. LHP Strike --> swinging in-play --> 1st pitch 2-run single (mid-low-in - perf/perf, 110mph - first solid hit this series, I’ll take it!) 1/2 BB 10. LHP Strike --> called strike (mid-low-out - good one to drive usually, as it was last AB!) --> 6th pitch strikeout (should have been BB, with more patience!) 2/6 BB ***On the surface, this looks like a very strong game 2...and we’ll certainly take the 3-hit, BB game...with a team blowout on top! However, I give slight pause here...2 of those hits probably shouldn’t have been (AB7 and AB8). You drew the walk in AB6 despite swinging at multiple pitches outside the zone that AB...point is, this game looks better personally than it was. Still need the quality of these ABs to improve to see sustained results!*** 11. RHP Strike --> swinging foul (high-mid-out - very late/okay) --> 2nd pitch ground out (right down the middle! Just early swing - unfortunate result, some payback from game 2 perhaps?) 1/3 BB 12. You got about what you deserved in this one, with a 1/4 slash in a team L*** SERIES First pitch: 7 balls, 7 strikes First pitch result: taken for ball = 6, swinging strike = 6 (5 in-zone, 1 outside), called strike = 2 AB Results: 2/7 w/ BB after taking first pitch, 2/5 w/ BB after swinging at first pitch Series - 4/12, 2 RBI, 2 BB Notes - Didn’t love this series from ya at the dish, tbh. You made contact with a couple of good pitches, but generally were swinging at junk throughout. Your game 2 results were not deserved, though we never argue with success! - You earned walks in 2 long ABs - I’d say impressive, but the ABs were only so long because you extended them by swinging at pitches outside the zone lol - Hopefully a monster series is coming soon! Need to see more pitches over the plate to make that happen though...

Yeah, I didn't deserve quite as good of stats as I got in game 2, but I'll take 'em when I can get 'em. I really thought Woo was going to get the win in game 3 when we were up 3-2, but the baseball gods wouldn't allow it. Even still, my batting average is going up (along with FA demand), and we're keeping up with the Dodgers, so this might turn into another solid season. Thanks for the stats and analysis!
