I love building real-ish ships but I’m from the depths they are just way way too thin to be adequately armored but that just provides a fun extra challenge

Patch, Patch, Patch, sponge-me-boy-lad... hear me out. Flak Barges? or some kind of like- Pre-Dreadnought Era Vessel that you're Navy (Or is is this one Cheswick's? you're doing Land & Air, why not Sea?) has pulled out of retirement, or mothball, or stopped the scrapping of. - Maybe a lengthy Tumblehome Pre-Dreadnought Battleship brought back to fight the Onyx Watch... or converted into an Aircraft Carrier. I'm getting ahead of myself: but really, maybe add a few Pre-Dreadnought style vessels? like early Protected Cruiser's? It always helps, and they are surprisingly easily to get the hang of when building. Yours Truly, A devoted fan, and FTD Lunatic.

By the look of your ship you might want to look into the Finest Hour campain. It would give you more "realistic" targets to fight if you decide to do more real ship inspired creations.

I think I heard about FTD not using cloud to save your blueprints as it causes issues like missing blueprints and such, its something on steam's end which the dev can't fix. (your blueprints are saved in the Documents folderalong with your images or decals and custom sounds and camos) but glad this is back, I do enjoy these kind of videos

omg so happy ! hey hey, long time ftd player (and now in the team too !) here, seeing what you do in sprocket, i think you would love love love the CTRL+X feature, that let you hide blocks and place "phantom blocks" you can modify the size/orientation/..., called "decorations", and let you build insanely detailled stuff ! I would highly suggest you go on the official FTD server, there is multiples channels there, and one of them is the realism chat, with a lot of people really eager to help and see you join the community !!! Anyway, back to the video thanks for playing the game !!!

In the designer you can press f7, shown at the top right of the screen, to toggle repairing from your character so you can ride on the ship without skewing results

If you're ever having trouble making good craft: consider airships. Fly them higher, make them faster, build them thicker and you can't go wrong.
