This is a sight and sound from the past. Love it. Im 69 now...grew up in the Muscle car / Hot Rod era. Cars..friday nights out draggin' main..going to the prom.. Wolfman Jack DJ'ing on the AM dial.. out lookin' for girls and girls out lookin' for boys..hot cars...maltshops with car hops...letter jackets...homecoming..it was quite a moment in time. The movie 'American Graffiti' portrayed not just the cars of those days really well but it captured the atmosphere of what those times were like exceptionally well. They nailed it. Milner and his '32' Ford perfectly captured the essence of cool. Fun days..never to be repeated..but this gorgeous old purple rod is still stealin' the show! Thanx for the memory.

That V8 is spectacular. You can hear the engine resonate through the headers even after he lets off the throttle! Always cool to see an engine someone built themselves. I get that there are fast four cylinders, but speed is a totally different subject from what this vid is about. The sound of those four bangers will never, not ever, compare to a V8. HΔNNIBΔL not at all. Newer cars have better camshafts. Older cars like that ford there with the small block have terrible cam grinds. Huge lift and duration, little vacuum like a legit race engine. Supras also don’t whine. They have turbos not hulking 6-v71 blowers on them. But nice try.

@@agcacustoms2852 28-29 model a have a narrow cowl. The 30-31 a's have a cowl that's even with the rest of the body.

@@agcacustoms2852 a very effective way to differentiate whether it's a Model A or a '32 is to look for the visor. Closed car Model A's came with those visors while a '32 never had them. There's also the less effective way of looking on the top of the cowl. Model A's had the gas tank in the cowl so there's usually a gas cap there while a '32 had a vent for air on top of the cowl. Just a couple helpful hints.

I can attest to the car alarms going off as soon as these old musclecars start up. I got to drive my father's 1924 Ford Tudor (his was purple too) a few times, and the motor was crazy. Two demon cams and an old school blower. Every time I started it up, it sounded like it was trying to destroy the garage.
