Season 1 does not have subtitles. But I still watch it. Love my South African shows..from Diep city to the fancy ones like Kings of Joburg. As a Bantu, I get most of what they say. Love and greetings from Nairobi

There's just a lot going on that it's so distracting at this point and one wouldn't even be able to tell that this is suppose to be about Naledi, not Hlomu, Mandisa or even Xoli. It's about Naledi!!! They are failing us 😭😭😭😭😭 They also better make this season longer since they want to give snippets of Qhawe's love story like he is some insignificant brother among the others.

I don't think it was "easy". Naledi's dad and the commander are cooking up something. As for Nqoba's funeral, I cringed all the way. The Mandisa we know would die before allowing girls to twerk for her husband, even in death.

You would know this if you read the book though, lol. She smoked even in the book. It was her form of escape for anxiety and stress but as time went on, due to Qhawe's disapproval and discouragement, she ended up quitting. She started also realising the health implications of it. I don't know if they will portray it like that on screen but that's what happened in the book.
