I’ve watched dozens of these videos and I’m overwhelmed. Their world hasn’t changed much in hundreds of years and there nothing to give them hope anything ever will. They just have a will to survive that many in the world can’t imagine. Living in the USA I listen to entitled people whining about how tough their life is. They have no idea what tough really is. They wouldn’t survive a week in these countries. It’s sad I wish so bad there was a way to help them have it easier. Then again they appreciate the small blessings in life that many in developed countries take for granted and feel they deserve. I totally admire these people.

This train seems to be the heartbeat of the rural economy. Without it, many people's livelihoods get affected. The DRC government needs to make sure that its always on track!!!Very similar to Usman and his friends who serve the outlying villages.

Congo does not have oil but it is blessed with numerous of all other mineral resources +lumber, water and plenty of land that is twice the size of France, Germany and UK combined ,those countries have a total population of over 200million yet Congo has a population of 86 million. If they had visionary governance and non interference from foreign forces they would be an African power house sadly it is one of the poorest countries in the world.

Africa needs to unite as one country, build a nationwide infrastructure. Stop letting other countries use up all your natural resources. Each country has a govenor, and a rotating president. Africa has all the natural resources the world needs. So why not buildup the continent?
@hippocreation

Your words can fool those uneducated. Natural resource worth NOTHING without global economy. For instance: uranium worth a lot, but without nuclear reactor, it is just dirt. Lithium worth nothing if you cannot make battery out of it. You can own all the resources, but can you make an iPhone out of it?

For 20 years the road is not maintained and abandoned. on a rainy days the car can be impassable . nowadays there's no actions. The way for the man to travel is only a train if it is 30 km/ h speed. people seemed that they can't afford to buy bikes. they use the bicycle. the big problems are the transformation of a rail such as curve . 🌻

Wow, those roads would be considered off road parks for ATV’s, dirt bikes and SxS’s here in the states. A place of recreation, not a primary route of travel. I respect them for be able to even travel those roads. Hopefully the government will help rebuild them sooner rather than later.

The only country that can build a decent highway and railway in the Congo is the Chinese. They could build it in 2 years or less. They already have interests in the Congo's plentiful mineral resources. The government should do a deal to have the Chinese take on infrastructure projects. They have a good track record in Africa. The West does not have the capacity, the will, or the money to do it. Of course, there are political and financial risks but what other option is there? It is sad to see fellow humans being transported like animals. No one in the world should be suffering such indignities.
