First of all a interview with Ace is rare and what I will say is he is in my top five emcees of all time. I still play book of human language to this day. One of my favourite records ever recorded.

Genius album. I hate the overuse of "underrated" but it really applies here.

Right before Innercity Griots came out, FF opened up for Brand Nubian ( 2nd album- no Puba ). They were seated at a folding table, and each got up in turn to rap, while Ganjah K rolled a joint on the table. They straight Fucked It Up. And then Onyx came out to do a few songs. They sucked then, and still suck now. But RUN DMC and Redman came out to jump around like they was hype. 🥱. When Lord Jamar and Sadat-X came out, it was apparent the show was run in the wrong order. But it was clear to see, people in the industry will always back those they think will make them money over true artists. And that goes for rap/hip hop artists themselves. Look how quick Eazy E turned on Yomo & Maulkie, sold them out for bone thugs with For the Love of Money. Acey gave him a tape, Micah used to write for them, and they want to act like bone came up with their style on their own. And you got Ice cube ripping off Volume 10 for his lench mob and, wow, Mac 10 🙄. Plus, Otherwize wins the Rap Olympics over eminem, but Dre knows white rappers sell more, so he gets signed. Probably couldn’t have guessed N.W.A. Stood for greedy ass capitalists.

@@parker_pubs I bet he did. Anyone who listened to To Whom It May Concern knows their stance on people like Ice T who came to the west and gave it a lame flavor only to go gangsta the moment they saw real street culture on the horizon. He said it himself. West coast stars made from East Coast pollution. Native emcees never got the game plan, so they grabbed their trumpets and hopped in the band.
