Thank you so much for your performance. My whanau are born and breed from Takapuwahia. My husband policed in the Waitangirua Cannons Creek area. Ko Ngati toarangatira ahau. Watching this performance brought tears to my eyes. It was a time of reflection on what our generation of people people went through, and the many sacrifices they made for us today. We currently live in Perth Western Australia and have been here since 2009, watching this was an opportunity for me to be grounded as to who i am culturally and refresh my roots as a proud Maori wahine.
