The satisfaction of having done it yourself is priceless, and whoever hasn't been through a build like this, will never get it. I designed and built my own fiberglass Bass boat from an existing 16ft ski boat hull in 2014. Needs a new coat of paint, but still going strong, with a 150 HO Evinrude to help it along. But yes....never again...maybe 🤔

this was totally impressive, your attention to detail, and the fact you set it up to be electric is impressive. Loved the decking work, the switch panel(s), and most of all the plumbing and livewell finish. Well done !

Dude... Wow! You were so humble when you told me about your channel. Your attention to detail in both the boat and the production quality, and the "get-to-the-point-edness" to show the integral aspects of the buildout are each and all superlative compared to most. Well, done! You're gonna hit 100k subs pretty quickly. My grandfather said It's a good idea to prepare for ridiculously high levels of wealth and success BEFORE you actually achieve them. You can rest assured that is what we're gonna see you achieve. Then, we're gonna talk about getting me one of these awesome freaking jon boats for the family watershed!

@@AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats Bro, Perfect Timing! I spent the afternoon on the river with my other business partner, and I introduced him to your channel here. I'll be back at the store Thursday and Friday, if you get a second either day around 1:30 or 2:00 - stop by or give me a call. I've got an opportunity that has potential to REALLY help not just you, but even greater it could be a game changer for both your home life and this awesome community of subscribers you're building here. It's the exact step in the right direction you said you needed, and regardless of what evolves we're all going to get a big boost of energy just from the conversation. It's cool that it doesn't really have anything to do with me but I still get to feel excited like an 8th grader who's seen where Santa stashed the new dirtbike until Christmas morning, lol! See you soon. Cheers, brother!

Oh man, the waterlogged injection foam! I went through the same thing when I restored a 1966 Lone Star Runabout. My son and I built our own bulkheads for bellow deck, and I think all told we sank close to 3000 rivets into it for all things done. Lotsa work, but the end result is so satisfying.

Excellent work! Ive got some skills and experience too and what you’ve done is very close to off the charts. The details on the wiring and access to future trouble spots is well thought out. I’m guessing this was set up for electric only waters. The hull was the right size to be comfortable and stable, keeping things off the decks and out of the way. I hope you do something else in the future. Nice to watch someone do things right.

Such a cool build. I can't afford a boat but one day maybe I will. How much overall was the cost of this build with you doing all the labor yourself?
@AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats Жыл бұрын
Man, loaded question because I built it for a customer and had labor cost. He bought some of the stuff, alrrady owned some parts, really hard to tell. I mean, the trolling motor alone is 3k. You could probably buy all the materials for 4-6k not including graphs or batteries or motors. But add in labor, candy paint, all the expensive electronics, this is a 25K boat all day.

Do I understand correctly that the removed foam was supposed to keep the boat afloat in case of capsizing? Won't it drown now if it capsizes?
@AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats Жыл бұрын
Would have drowned if it were left in as it was water soaked holding hundreds of pounds of weight. The owner specified he did not want any foam back in. This is an electric only reservoir boat, incredibly unlikely it will ever flip over. If it takes in water, it has a bilge pump.
@HighRewardOutdoors10 ай бұрын

Nice job Anthony as always, I do think it’s time you step up your game and start using aluminum welding over most of the rivets. I get you have to use some rivets in some spots but that takes up too much time when you can pre fabricate and weld then install. Time is money and doing double work cost you money. Take a look at Tricked Tins Page and you will see how fast he gets his work done. He also uses minor rivet work on his builds only when necessary. I am not by any means trying to be harsh here just simply stating welding is much more stronger and cleaner looking.
@AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats Жыл бұрын
I get it. Perhaps your unaware but this footage is almost 2 years old. I've welded my past 3 boat builds. You can look at my last build on here, the Alumacraft Bandit, all welded. I've been welding a year now, you can see allthe real time frames and builds on my instagram, @adubjones..I'm simply re editing old footage for a 10 minute videoseries im doing. Appreciate the insight.
