Me and my friend have one thing in common: We love electronica/techno But he loves hardstyle/pure techno (His favourite is showtek) and i love dubstep (don't have a favourite) We always fight over what is better of the two. Today i decided to check out showtek, just to see what it was like. And my conclusion is: They are equally good (or bad to adults) But i also found the major difference between the two. Hardstyle techono is the same rythm repeated constantly, and dubstep is random sounds. Yay

@bendiko50 Well it's not really random sounds if you really look into it. Every genre has got a clear structure, just look at some "how to make dubstep" videos and you'll see. But it's true that hardstyle has clear a 4/4 rythm while dubstep has a lot of drums mixed together to form a different beat.
