It says a lot about the actor. When I saw the first few episodes, I was surprised that they gave the role to an actor not so known. He was probably the least known actor among the main cast. And with every new episode, it was much more obvious that he is the ultimate main character. And he managed it perfectly, he was able to outshine such an actor like Jeremy Irons. They couldn´t pick anyone better for Cesare.

Yes , he absolutely WAS Cesare !!! Hard to believe they aren't doing a 4 th series , but then I wouldn't want to see his downfall !! He was nowhere near as repulsive as Juan --- in fact , he wasn't repulsive at all ..... quite the opposite !

It must be me but I thought he was the weakest actor and his accent wasn't so good in series 1, you could hear the American but he is incredibly handsome & a good actor from what I've seen him in other things.

Best decision in the history of casting: François Arnaud for the role of Cesare Borgia. He is so genuine that it is incredible. Who would have thought he could be so amazing just looking at that clean-shaven, short haired young man. He was more than perfect in ever single scene of the Borgias. I agree with you on Ursula, but not because of her lovely creamy peachy skin tone. Sancia looks very Moorish and that is because the real actress' parents are from Morocco. Look at paintings from people back in the day. They were not tan like Sancia (skin tone looked down upon), they ideal color was a creamy peachy tone. Even Jeremy Iron's olive colored complexion wasn't the ideal color. People would use skin whitening methods to make themselves even more fair.

He hated the church with a passion, he could not be Captain General of the Papal Armies. Because he was second in line. His brother Juan was an embarrassment to the the family. Inept as a Soldier, Cruel, Cowardly and his Father did not have as close of a relationship as the story tells. The real History of the Borgia's is amazing in itself. Even if it was told factually. Vanozza was never allowed much say in our lives. She did not raise us for long.

He plays the lead role of Manfred Bernado in Midnight, Texas. I highly recommend you check it out. In fact, Midnight Texas introduced me to Francois. I was blown away by his incredible acting. Such an underrated actor. I wanted to check out some of his other projects where he plays a main character. I've been looking for another historical drama since binging Versailles months ago. I started The Borgias this past Monday...and I'm already two episodes away from finishing Season 2. I intensely binged 17 episodes in 3.5 days. Damn The Borgias is wonderfully addictive historical drama. I love watching different historical drama TV shows. The Tudors, The White Queen, The White Princess, Camelot, Outlander and Versailles so far. I like variety. Francois brilliantly brings to life the multi-faceted sides of Cesare Borgia. I regret nothing about my recent binge of The Borgias. Only 12 episodes left. I'll probably finish them by the weekend in a few days.

Cesare would go for days without sleep. He was a genius, and he only loved one woman in his life his sister. Lucrezia, there was never any incest. Because, we were Spaniards, the Italian liked to spread vicious lies. Francois Arnaud has the looks, but he's got a lot of man-ing up to do to carry off the role. Cesare was a complex character, turning night into day. And, trusting few. INTENSITY .. can he bring that much Power to the Character. Wish it followed the facts. He was Not the Oldest.

Mario puzo didnt write the godfather after the borgias. He wrote it on NYC mob and corleone was based on Frank Costello. Puzo wrote the family after the borgias and he died and his girlfriend finished the book for him and you can tell theres 2 writers. Jordan shouldve known that. Good series yet cesare had French disease not Juan unless he did. You really dont see much info on him. Maybe if he let the other writers write more of 2nd season ratings may have stayed up and at least there wouldve been the 3rd marriage of lucrezia and Pope Alexander dies and cesare as well. Borgia faith and fear ended with the end. I love this cast but wish that it had ended at the end instead of that stupid ebook. Thank God for the actors not ruining career on that movie. Aweful. Love Jeremy irons, loved both cesares, David oakes better than Stanley webber. Lucrezia wasnt even in spoleto to govern. So much missing. Her final marriage shouldve been in series. I watch this quite often but cant believe Jordan thought godfather is after the borgias, Italy is the only common denominator. Fool

Cesare makes the fool of oneself sleeping with Ursula. Their romance seems a parody, itsn'nt serious in any may. Cesare just might need to Ursula for her to scrub the floors of his home. She's ugly and graceless. And on top of the absurd, he avenged the Ursula's murder after she left him, hahaha!! This's a Cesare Borgia of comic.
