Beautiful. In the US there are nice pilot hole bits for exactly centering flat head screws in countersunk hardware like these window frames. It takes a little longer for the extra step of drilling, but then the screws go in perfectly without fiddling.

That is much more bracing than we install in Canada. I think it’s a good idea, especially anywhere that earthquakes are possible.

to avoid the problem with the countersink screwholes maybe you can use self centering drill bits for the pilot hole.

Very nice, I like the open plan interior, very spacious and airy.

7:41 here in the states we install flashing around the rough opening to protect the framing from water then install the door or window and flash over that too to make a watertight and air tight barrier.

Is all that bracing just for weight of the second floor or is that seismic ? I do love your narration and how you show what you are doing. Thank you for taking all the effort. Charles

This is an interesting thing. In Europe the windows and doors always installed by the manufacturer companies. Ok not the cheap big box store type doors and windows, but the good quality stuff.

Beautiful work as always Shoyan san. I think that you probably prefer new work to renovation work? With a new build everything is perfectly level and square. With renovations, there has usually been some subsidence and warping, and you have to work around that. I can't wait for your next video!
