Spot on impressions man, though I didn't agree with people who claimed grain on the 9500 and still don't. I too thought the warmth of the 9600 was a bit much at times. Seemed like it was it a tad clammy/claustrophobic with certain tracks (and can come off like it's trying too hard), but man when it's good, it's heavenly. I haven't been able to take it off since I got it. The added bass is mostly welcome, and I can listen for a long time because of the more subdued treble. It also retains most of what made the 9500 a great headphone in my opinion: Soundstage, imaging, and detail retrieval are all excellent. I still get those "out of my head" moments with the 9600, which is also great for film, gaming and stuff like that. Looking forward to the review!

been diving into youtube and google for same answer, basically the X2HR are probably wayyy better for u. One reviewer said the X2hr is the 9500 on ROIDS (9600 is very similar to 9500) The only thing id recommend is the leather after market pads from Dekoni for the X2HR, makes it completely different sounding but i think much more thick and clear (you may prefer light and airy). The only other headphone you may want in the future is the DT 1990 pro.....which is like 500$ but similar to X2 and more clear etc etc.

@mannymakesmusic8914 жыл бұрын
@@stevesavage9331 i have the audio technica m50x and the audio technica ws770i to compare and i can say, they feel very open, lightweight on the head, the pads get warm when listening for long periods of time and it's very soft compared to my other two headphones. I can't really push anything through it without it distorting but at low volumes it sounds fine. All plastic body and none removable cable, the jack is nice amd it's metal but the cable itself is mediocre. Compared to a stock m50x, the openness is great, ot covers your ears and the clap force of the SHP 2000 is responsible. My audio technica ws770is has some big leather pads on them so the bass is substantially more than it was before and it's warmer than the m50x. The SHP 2000 has a cool sound to it and lacks any punch but is very dynamic. Right now I'm using UMC404HD as my main output since i don't have another primary headphone DAC AMP to drive. Overall. The SHP 2000 is okay, would recommend for young kids who you don't want stuff blasting away in their head and it's comfortable for kids to use. That's my honest take on it.
