I don't think you can judge whether we are making the movies that make history. I doubt that shahrukh khan knew DDLJ would make history or any classic for that matter, just have to go with the flow and hope for the best.

Whenever Shraddha tries to talk I feel like she is going to say something intelligent, but she ends up saying some stupid shit, alas not even answering the question. Like she ends up repeating stuff, and sometimes just goes blank about certain questions. Plus, she says "I think.." a looooot. Wish she was more articulate cause she's really cute.

It must have been Anupama's idea. She has mentioned several times that it is one of her favorite films. Sholay is a bad choice to be one of your favorite film let alone include it in the logo of a channel that critiques and reviews films. It was an escapist and populist film inspired from (read copied) from The Magnificent Seven (1960), Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid (1969), For a Few Dollars More.

Sholay is my favorite film of all time. You might argue that far better or more successful films exist but this is the one that moves my soul - every single time I see it. So when it came to picking a new logo for Film Companion, the sidecar image was a slam dunk. The logo was created by the wonderful design company Please See//. It’s a symbol of the enduring companionship between two of Hindi cinema’s most iconic characters - Veeru and Jai. - Anupama

Changes I wud like to see in Bollywood 2017 is - Killing of Nepotism & Mafia producers, Sharukh khan's monopoly despite being a flop & outdated star, Idiot Corporates to involve in film making, loud actors like Ranveer singh, varun, Arjun to quit............... Aditya is a cool dude but not cut out to be a Movie star, Shraddha is a big star now but Alia sounds more matured & fresh thn her.... The reign of bollywood's future still lies in the hand of Shahid kapoor( Still so underrated) & Ranbir Kapoor (though he's not macho enough),Sushnt s rajput is also a dark horse! Akshay kumar can rule 10 more years, Aamir khan is good but super funny & a bit over the top performer!

Neel Sen alia is a better actress but alia and matured dont go hand in hand. she is quite dumb.. srk deserves to be in bwood as long as hr wants to coz he deserves to be in bwood. he worked hard to be where he is and that too without a godfather.. his upcoming projects seems to be interesting and his extended cameo in dear zindagi was amazing.. nepotism is the reason why shahid and ranbir are still in bwood even after giving big flops and sushant is not as famous as varun or tiger eventhough he is far better than them...

Hi Anupama, I noticed that your questioning style has evolved a bit in the new year. I'm liking it better than the usual generic questions such as "what was the experience like? etc..." An insight into the art of movies is more enjoyable to watch. So thanks for implementing that. However, I think the interviewees lacked the depth that you were looking for (to no fault of their own). So to that aspect I hope we get to see you choose better subjects for your interviews this year than the popular celebrities coming on during the time of their respective movie promotions.
