In Kishor Kumar's songs it appears that it is the song's wording seems more effective than his singing in Khade Sur. It as if a mushaayaraa and not a mahfil of true singing.What do you say ?

I would say, it’s due to how composer Salil da composed it! If you compare a few songs by Chitragupta which have continuous & connected flow of notes and connected words too, Kishore da delivers them brilliantly .. checkout Chanda ki kirano se lipti hawaae .. or your favorite Mere Diwane pan ki bhi, dawa nahi by LP. So it’s the composers decision to keep the tune full of discrete notes or otherwise. In my humble opinion 🙏
