Its done on bhogi day. Please introduce all the traditions to the kids from both sides mother and father, so that they can know their roots and culture.

It's a bit weird when u were in Delhi you stayed at your own house but at Kakinada rather than staying with Prashant's family you'll chose a resort despite your in-laws them being such warm and welcoming people. They literally decorated so much just for Kiki. You'll should have stayed at their house rather than a resort. Kiki should be taught to love both parents families not just one parents' family.
