Love your style, your speed/flow reminds me of how I skate, I wish I had seen your channel before I visited the town, I would've had you show me the sights when I was there...I got in 2 great days of skating...I think south street was one of my favs! Great video, I'll check out some of your others. I personally don't make videos, but I travel to urban centers for a few days at a time on my days off of work just for the flow discovery!

@rerollinginline2 жыл бұрын
It's funny because before skating Philadelphia, I assumed it would be rough because it's "so old". And Philadelphia is and old city... compared to the rest of America, but of course a baby compared to the rest of the world. We'd love to you have you in the city of brotherly love! Yes, there is a statue of Rocky off to the side of the art museum steps he famously ran up in the movie and it always has people lined up to take photos with it. I will try to remember to get some footage of it for you next time I'm down there.

I wish the weather looked like that here (Central Canada) in January. There wasn't an inch of pavement visible, just mountains upon mountains of snow. Snow is still on the roads. Looks like I'm gonna have to wait until mid to late April before I can head back out. Question. What helmet do you use? I've been looking for a low profile helmet,yours doesn't seem that bulbous.
@rerollinginline2 жыл бұрын
Ah bummer, I know Philadelphia isn't the best winter, but it could be worse. This is the Triple 8 Dual Certified Mips: triple8.com/products/dual-certified-mips-helmet?variant=32223090442377 I'll say I do have a small head though, so that may be why it seems less bulbous, lol. It's not advertised as a low profile helmet or anything.

Great flow session, looked to be a perfect day for some sun filled cold winter inline skating. That's a bummer to hear the news about your ankle, but glad to hear you've recovered! Curious to know how many miles do you usually cover, if you use a tracker?
@rerollinginline2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Yeah, the ankle is not back to 100% yet, but I can skate pain-free, which is all I need at the moment. I think I usually average between 10-12 miles/hr during a city session and they're usually 60-90 minutes. I wore my Garmin running watch when I first started skating again to help track calories burned as I shed some weight and got back into shape. But once I had an idea of what I was getting out of my sessions and got my fitness back, I stopped wearing it. Basically because I didn't need the granular data anymore and I could just feel how much of a workout I was getting. I've thought about wearing it again just to look back at the miles I put in. I've always got my phone on me, so it wouldn't be hard even if I didn't want to wear the watch.

Although this channel and its content aren't explicitly for kids or anything, I still want it to be profanity-free and generally viewable by any audience. I have nieces, nephews and friends children who watch the channel after asking me if there is anything a parent may not want a child to see. Obviously things can pop up unintentionally like they did in this song. I was actually able to edit this particular F bomb out without re-uploading, so it's no longer in the video. Thanks for watching and best wishes to you as well!

u not afraid when stepping out a corner?
@rerollinginline2 жыл бұрын
Not if my visibility is good. What you don’t see in the video is what I’m looking at. You constantly have to assess what’s coming when city skating. If I wasn’t confident I could go around a corner safely, then I wouldn’t. I get plenty of footage that doesn’t make it into the video because I’m forced to stop or slow down either because something is in the way, or I don’t have good enough visibility to be confident about what’s ahead.
