So fun to see those slides and carves! Killing it with that setup. Thanks for the love and for some really good insights-we're taking some notes for the future. Yes the battery is quite secure in order to stay put while riding, but we know what you mean when it's time to take it off. We've found that the easiest way to remove the battery is to get a bit more leverage. Try standing the deck up against your leg/hip-wheels out and front truck on top-then remove the battery by pulling up. We'll throw this tip in the user guide (which we also appreciate the shoutout for). Also: Though it might look a little strange, we actually have seen riders attach the rear-truck surfskate adapter too if you ever wanted to try giving it a spin. Appreciate all the quality content you have going on, we love to see it! 🤙

Out of all the setups I’ve owned the revel setup isn’t the most powerful but it definitely was one of the most fun setups. I’d be switching wheels and decks every month and felt like I had a completely new esk8 board. I did eventually sell it for a more powerful, longer range setup but would definitely still pick up a revel kit if I came across a deal.
@clintroberts12 жыл бұрын
This is a great kit. The remote is so smooth in regard to acceleration and braking. It's super quiet too. It's nice you dont have to drill holes to attach but one con you missed is that you can't do drop down/thru decks as I like to be lower to the ground but with bigger wheels (say 97). I have this kit on a Loaded Poke and Loaded Vanguard with ABEC11 Refly 97's and Cloudwheel 105's. I also made a folding board with a BoardUp hinge for travel. I would like to see a drop through version (to get lower to the ground), some added sleekness to the kit (wider or maybe longer battery so not so thick aka close to ground), a smaller remote but possibly same slider and smoothness - dont wanna mess that up (although this one works great with the stick on Shredlight adapter to have a night flashlight) and finally a "kiddy" speed mode to keep say level 1 at 5mph max. Level one still gets you to like 14 I think and that's too fast for a beginner. I dont ride mine much compared to my son so I am hoping longevity wise it will be good but havent had a single problem with mine for 2 years
@jer00063 жыл бұрын
I have both the Revel kit and the unlimited race kit and my favorite is the Revel kit which is on the loaded Vanguard with 97mm ABEC 11 wheels which makes for a great and smooth ride. The unlimited race kit is great and you can use any truck, I have Paris v3's on an Icarus desk, the 2 hub motors are powerful, there are really only two limitations... First you can only use Caguama's which are great wheels but I miss the versatility of the direct drive where any wheel can be used and hub sleeves dont provide a lot of urethane to cushion poor road surfaces. Second its not as easy to extend the range on the unlimited kit by simply swapping out a battery as you would need to swap both at the same time which is quite expensive at $500). I am interested to see your review of the unlimited kit and how you would fit the surf adapter under the back truck, the battery plate would need to go on first followed by the adapter and then the truck so curious how that setup works for you. Great videos by the way!

Sweet, thanks for sharing all this info Jeremy - really appreciate it. I'm gonna try my revel kit with one of my flex Loaded boards... probably the Poke. The Vanguard with 97mm ABEC 11 sounds like a great combo. I agree - I love the ability to swap out wheels and that extra urethane is so noticeable when going over bumps/cracks. I have no idea if the rail adapter is possible with the unlimited kit, but I'm gonna try haha

@@tjbynum7775 the price depends where your from im from the Netherlands and I bought it out of Germany and I payed 750 for one kit with two extended range batteries I could pay it off my fathers company so I didn’t need to pay taxes but Idk how much it’s for you you can find the prices on the American or German side so it depends where your from. And it fits on any deck with the standard 8 bolt holes for the trucks and its powerful enough I think with just normal 90mm wheels it can accelerate really fast for me atleast I’m 150lbs but you should go for an extended range battery and maybe 2 if you want more range you can also go for 2 kits than your getting double the power and that’s definitely more than enough to go really fast.
