Shree Antu Danda (2,300 metres) is located in the Ilam region of eastern Nepal. South of the third-highest peak in the world, Kanchenjunga (8586m), which lies directly outside of Darjeeling, India.
One of the greatest sites in Ilam to see the amazing sunrise, sunset, and Himalayas is Antu Danda, which is home to Shree Antu, a stunning hill in the district.
The Terai flatlands, terraced slopes of cash crops, tea gardens, and dense pine trees are all visible from this 2,328-meter-high elevation. On a sunny, clear day, one may also take in the views of Mirik, Kurseong, and Darjeeling.
Ilam is the main tea-growing area in Nepal. In addition to tea, the area is renowned for producing cardamom, ginger, potatoes, a particular type of cold (akabare khursani), and a certain type of grass (amliso).
The Shree Antu Danda viewpoint offers breath-taking views amid tea plantations and surrounding pine tree forests. Overlooking the plain Terai landscape in the south, the eastern Himalayas in the north, and the Darjeeling tea-growing areas in the east. Mt. Everest may also be seen early in the day.
Many different ethnic groups live in Ilam, including the Limbu, Rai, Lepcha, Magar, Tamang, and others. Lepcha people only exist in Ilam, Nepal, where they are said to number under 4,000. Although the Lepcha consider themselves to be native to the area, it is unknown where they actually originated. We also have the opportunity to stay with a Lepcha people group while in Antu Danda. so that we might learn about their wonderful culture and traditions.

Nearest airport is Bagdogra (IXB). Nearest Railway stations are New Jalpaiguri Junction (NJP), both are well connected with Kolkata and rest of India. Exclusive vehicles and taxies are available from airport and railway station.
From New Jalpaiguri Railway Station 96 Km, from Siiguri Junction 90 km & from Bagdogra Airport 78 Km.

Bus fare From Siliguri Bagrakote Bus stand to Panitank Rs.30/-INR (per person), From Panitanki Bus stand to Kakarvitta Custom Office by Toto(three wheeler battery vehicle) Rs.10/-per Head. Then from Charali More to Shree Antu Share Taxi Rs.315/-(INR) per person.
Reserved 4 - 8 seater vehicles from New Jalpaiguri Railway station or from Bagdogra Airport- Rs.4000/- to 5000/- INR depending on availabity.

4-wheeler per day: Rs.320/-

কারেন্সি ভাঙ্গাবার জন্য আপনি কাঁকড়ভিটা বাস স্ট্যান্ডের আশপাশে অনেক এজেন্সির দোকান দেখতে পাবেন, সেখান থেকে এক্সচেঞ্জ করে নিতে পারেন। তবে আমরা কারেন্সি এক্সচেঞ্জ করিনি, দরকারও পড়েনি। ইন্ডিয়ান কারেন্সী কন্যাম ও শ্রী অন্তু, দু জায়গাই চলে। ♥♥♥

সবথেকে ভালো হয়, আপনারা দুজনে যদি শিলিগুড়ি কোর্ট মোর, বা ভেনাস মোড় থেকে নকশালবাড়ির লোকাল বাস ধরে পানিট্যাংকি বাস স্ট্যান্ডে নেমে শেয়ার টোটো করে ইন্ডিয়া-নেপাল বর্ডার অর্থাৎ মেচি নদী পার করে তারপর নেপালের "চারালী" মোর থেকে শেয়ার গাড়ি নেন। ফেরার সময় কন্যাম (kanyam) থেকে আবার শেয়ার গাড়ি ধরে নেবেন। এতে খরচ অনেক কম পড়বে। আমার "শ্রীঅন্তু " (Shree Antu) ব্লগটা দেখে নেবেন, ওতেই যাতায়াতের সমস্ত ডিটেলস পাবেন। শিলিগুড়ি থেকে সরাসরি কোনো শেয়ার গাড়ি চলাচল করে না। আর কিছু জানার থাকলে নির্দ্বিধায় লিখে জানাতে পারেন। আমি যতটা পারবো সাহায্য করবো। ভালো থাকবেন আপনি। আমাদের ব্লগটা, আপনার ভালো লেগেছে জেনে আমাদেরও ভালো লাগলো। ধন্যবাদ ❤❤❤
