Jankri by vishal Binomial approximates to Poisson when probability of happening a event is very small and n is very large we can approximate lambda (n*p=. Lambda that is average rate of occurrence of event is constant) In binomial n is finite and p is bit large but if p is very very small that is less than .05 and n is large we can approximate binomial to Poisson distribution Condition of occurrence of event randomly and independent is same in both binomial and Poisson
