My mother tongue is telugu and I love India. I had great respect to so many legends from Bengal along with ViswaKavi Rabindranath Tagore. "Ekla chalo re" is Bengali patriotic song written by Rabindranath Tagore in 1905. Here are the lyrics and the meaning: Jodi tor dak shune keu na ashe tobe ekla cholo re, X2 Tobe ekla cholo, ekla cholo, ekla cholo, ekla cholo re. Jodi tor dak shune keu na ashe tobe ekla cholo re Jodi keu kotha na koe, ore ore o obhaga,keu kothana koi Jodi shobai thake mukh phiraee shobai kore bhoe, jodi shobaai thake mukh phiraae shobai kore bhoi- Tobe poran khule O tui mukh phute tor moner kotha ekla bolo re. Jodi tor dak shune keu na ashe tobe ekla cholo re, X2 Jodi shobai phire jae, ore ore o obhaga,shobai phire jai Jodi gohon pothe jabar kale keu phire na chae, jodi gohon pothe jabar kale keu phire naa chaai- Tobe pother kata O tui roktomakha chorontole ekla dolo re Jodi tor dak shune keu na ashe tobe ekla cholo re, X2 Jodi alo na dhore, ore ore o obhaga, X2 Jodi jhor-badole adhar rate duar dee ghore- X2 Tobe bojranole Apon buker pajor jalie nie ekla jolo re. Jodi tor dak shune keu na ashe tobe ekla cholo re X2, Here is the translation in prose of the Bengali original rendered by Rabindranath Tagore himself. If there is no-one responding to your call - then go on all alone If no-one speaks (to you), don't think you are unfortunate, if no-one speaks (to you), If everyone turns away, if everyone fears (to speak), then with an open heart without hesitation speak your mind alone If everyone walks away, O unlucky one, everyone walks away If no-one looks back towards the (your) unpredictable path, then with thorn pricked (of the path) bloodied feet, walk alone If no-one heeds your call - then walk alone If no-one shines a light (on the path), O unlucky one, If the dark night brings thunder and storm at the door - then let the lightning ignite the light in you alone to shine on the path If no-one heeds your call - then walk alone

I am proud to be a Bangali. When I was in 12th Class, there were 2 book of this subject in Syllabus. I didn't like the 2nd Book because there is too much information about too many great Artists and Scientists all of them are Bangali... It's Unbelievable that Indian Science Domain is used to Dominated by Bangali Scientists and Artists are still Dominating in the Their Domain... All Time Best two Singers are - Lata Mangeshkar and Shreya Ghoshal... In the entire Country there is no one who comes close to these too ..... They are the Pinnacle of Indian Singer..... Those heights can't be overcome by others ...😱

Translation: If they answer not to thy call walk alone If they are afraid and cower mutely facing the wall, O thou unlucky one, open thy mind and speak out alone. If they turn away, and desert you when crossing the wilderness, O thou unlucky one, trample the thorns under thy tread, and along the blood-lined track travel alone. If they do not hold up the light when the night is troubled with storm, O thou unlucky one, with the thunder flame of pain ignite thy own heart, and let it burn alone.

@sanjaysen79375 жыл бұрын
Abiram Mandal when netaji was born there was no existence of cuttack or orissa,bihar and orissa were under bengal province or presidency,same like a single state of india bengal ,so no question about orissa,father of netaji was an affluent lawyer and he moved out of calcutta for his profession,netaji neither had any interest in oriya nor he and his family knew the language and so he was admitted in an english medium later on in bengali medium school,at that era numerous bengalese used to live around eastern parts of india and across the country,after the independence and division maximum number of bengalese came back to bengal.

I love the way how Bangla has been producing heart touching songs. Yes, and what else can be expected from the language of some Great forefathers of our country. U know whom I am talking about. It is very disheartening how Punjabi(which is *my* mother tongue) is portrayed in the new type of songs. And like other people are talking, I don''t have any favorite language, yes it's true languages like Urdu and Bangla are polite to be heard. ❤❤
