I really feel we don't talk enough about Shreya Ghoshal. Her songs literally defined the last 20 years of bollywood. Her voice is technically brilliant and she can sing anything from Chikni Chameli to Jhalla Wallah to Bhor Bhayee to Sunn Raha Hai. Even Sunidhi isn't as technically good as her. Shreya is a living legend and that's on PERIOD. Edit:- No guys, I wasn't trying to put Sunidhi down. Sunidhi is awesome. I love her voice. I was just telling the truth. Sunidhi can't sing classical songs like Shreya and her voice sounds strained at high notes.

Shreya Ji can be complimented without putting Sunidhi Ji down. Pitting two talented women against each other isn't really worth it. Also, Sunidhi's technique, albeit different from Shreya's as she opts for a more theatrical power packed vocal style, is also just as efficient and adds to her versatility. Try listening to Kanaso Idu, Lae Dooba, Baal Khade and Yaaram - and you'll know what her technique and variety in vocal textures truly is.

Loved this! Shreya is absolutely fantatsic. I don't need to say that. Everyone knows it. Her singing the title track of Kalank was the high-point for me - although Shilpa Rao has sung parts of the reprised version of the said song (which I believe wasn't part of the film and was added later). Shreya Ghoshal is one of the few singers who sounds as melodious and wonderful, both when recorded and live. A special mention of the anchor Sneha as well for not interrupting the artist and asking the right questions :).

Shreya Ghoshal. An absolute rock star of playback singing! I find her voice & range even superior to Lata Mangeshkar. Most of her song renditions are almost spiritual. And mind you she sings in many languages unlike the older singers. Some of her Kannada & Malayalam ones are terrific !!!!!
